Elena side-stepped, slipping behind him, and delivered a heavy punch.
With a single blow, Jason was sent flying onto the desk.
*Crash!*
The desk collapsed under his weight.
Jason grimaced in agony; it felt like his ribs were cracking. His whole body screamed in pain.
He looked up at Elena with terror in his eyes.
He hadn't expected this little girl to be a trained fighter. Her strike was vicious.
"Captain... Captain... are you okay?"
His subordinates rushed over to help him up.
Elena stood with her arms crossed, radiating an intimidating aura. It was the natural pressure of a superior predator.
Jason realized this girl was no ordinary person.
But he refused to accept defeat.
"Well? Do I need to help you out the door?"
Jason knew he was no match for Elena. Self-preservation came first. He grunted coldly, got up, and limped away.
Watching their captain flee, the rest of the security team began to fear Elena.
No one dared to act out now.
"If anyone else doesn't want to work, feel free to leave! I won't force you to stay. But if you stay, you do your job!" Elena glanced at them, her eyes full of warning.

After leaving, Jason went straight to find Ralph. He had always been Ralph's lackey.
The two sat down, their faces full of resentment.
*Elena, if you won't let me live in peace, I won't let you live in peace either.*

When Elena returned to the office, Daniel was rallying the department heads, inquiring about the recent sales figures.
Seeing that even a crony like Ralph had been thrown out, the staff realized the father-daughter duo wasn't to be trifled with.
Everyone was on their best behavior.
After the meeting, Daniel said, "Elena, this company is in worse shape than I imagined. Orders are declining, and we're losing money every year. The staff is complacent; when problems arise, they just pass the buck."
"Dad, I know. Getting the company back on track won't happen overnight. Also, I kicked out the head of security. He was one of Uncle Edward's people."
"Sigh, you've worked hard. I wanted to handle this mess, but I've dragged you into it." Daniel felt a bit guilty toward his daughter.
"Dad, don't say that. We're a family. I know you want to secure a place in the Whelan family and protect Mom. I understand. Everything will be fine."
"Also, I suspect Uncle Edward's family will be here soon. Take these documents; you'll need them to deal with them."
