When he learned that a gang war had broken out at the docks, his worry intensified.
"Hello, Elena? Where are you?" Dylan asked anxiously.
"I'm fine."
"It's so late and you aren't back yet. Mr. and Mrs. Whelan are very worried. Where are you? I'll come pick you up."
"We're almost at the pier. Tell them not to worry, I'm safe."
Bianca, leaning against the wall, heard Elena on the phone and glanced over.
A strange sense of sadness welled up in her heart.
Tonight, she had lost all dignity, been kidnapped, and made a fool of herself.
Yet, even though she hadn't returned home this late, no one besides her mother would likely be worried about her.
Soon, the boat docked, and Elena and the others disembarked.
Dylan was already waiting there.
"Elena!" Dylan rushed over and pulled her into his arms.
"Are you okay? I was worried to death!" Dylan was visibly relieved.
He had felt uneasy all night.
Seeing them get off the boat—everyone looking disheveled except Elena—he knew something bad had happened.
"I'm fine." Elena gently pushed him away. People were watching.
Bianca was supporting Hannah. Both of them were shocked to see Dylan and Elena embracing.
Wasn't this Elena's delivery driver fiancé?
He was wearing a bespoke suit, looking incredibly handsome and radiating a noble aura. He looked perfect with Elena.
"Well well, Mr. Sinclair. You only care about Elena? Don't you care about anyone else?" Michelle teased.
"Everyone is tired tonight. I'll have someone drive you all home," Dylan said to them.
Especially Bianca and Hannah—they looked like wrecks. It was clear they had been through something.
Dylan was doing this for Elena's sake.
Michelle lived closer, so the driver dropped her off first.
Then he proceeded to take Hannah and Bianca home.
The events of the day left Bianca feeling very unsettled.
Especially the sight of the tall, handsome Dylan, his luxury car, and his command over the situation.
Was Dylan really a delivery guy?
"Sir, the Mr. Sinclair you mentioned... is he Mr. Sinclair of the Sinclair Group?" Bianca asked the driver.
"Yes. The surname Sinclair is rare in Cresden City. The only one who dares to call himself Mr. Sinclair is naturally from the Sinclair family! Our Mr. Sinclair is now the CEO!"
Bianca fell silent.
She and Hannah exchanged a look of disbelief.
"How is that possible? I remember he used to deliver food," Hannah asked, unable to help herself.
"Deliver food? Miss, you must be joking. Why would our Mr. Sinclair deliver food? He is a genius, a business prodigy destined to dominate the market. You must have mistaken him for someone else."
