"These vegetables are completely rotten. I can't believe they haven't thrown them out!" Logan noticed it too.
A foul stench wafted over, and Theresa found it incredibly pungent.
It was like falling into a sewer; absolutely unbearable.
"Ah! A cockroach!" Theresa suddenly saw something crawl out from under her feet.
She jumped in fright.
Taking a step back, she nearly fell over.
Logan quickly grabbed her, steadying her.
However, she ended up leaning her entire body into Logan's embrace.
"Don't be afraid. Cockroaches don't bite."
Theresa had never been exposed to things like this.
She took out her phone, snapped photos of the mess, and recorded a video.
The smell from the food waste bin nearby was even worse. How long had it been since they emptied the trash?
Theresa thought about the food she had been eating, realizing it all came from a place like this.
Her stomach churned, and she felt the urge to vomit again.
Logan walked over and opened the refrigerator.
"This meat is spoiled. It's gone bad, and they still haven't thrown it away!"
Theresa remembered what her colleagues had said earlier. "No wonder they said the meat tasted funny sometimes. The hygiene here is atrocious."
"These people really don't treat the employees like humans! I have to root out this cancer. Otherwise, if an employee gets sick or dies, the company will be held responsible! These people are despicable."
Theresa took photos and then went to check the seasonings.
She looked at the packages. "Several of these packs are expired!"
Logan added, "These additives are illegal. They aren't supposed to be used in food ingredients at all."
"Let's go in and check anyway, just to be safe. If someone sneaked in, we'll be in trouble."
"It was probably just rats making noise."
The two men took out a key, unlocked the door, and prepared to inspect the room.
Logan quickly pulled Theresa behind a storage rack to hide.
Neither of them dared to breathe loudly.
The two patrolling men entered, looked around, and didn't notice anything unusual.
The space behind the rack was cramped, and Logan held Theresa tightly.
The distance between them was so small that Theresa could almost hear the beating of Logan's heart.
She glared at him.
If not for the situation, she wouldn't be having any physical contact with him!
