Reborn Fake Heiress Watch the Whole Family Burn novel Chapter 322

Damn it!

Theresa felt like Logan was taking advantage of the situation.

Suddenly, she looked down and saw a rat dart out!

Ah!

Just as she was about to scream, Logan clamped his hand over her mouth. Theresa's eyes went wide.

She watched helplessly as the rat scurried right over her foot.

Her whole body trembled.

It was the first time she had seen a rat that big.

And it ran over her foot!

Ugh!

The rat ran out into the open. The two men saw it and relaxed.

"See? I told you it was a rat. You didn't believe me."

"Alright, let's go. We still have an hour of break time left. Let's get some sleep."

The two finished talking, locked the door again, and left.

Once the sound of footsteps faded, Theresa shoved Logan away and stepped out.

"Don't push your luck!" Theresa said through gritted teeth.

Logan curved his lips into a devil-may-care smile.

"I just helped you, and this is how you repay me? Where's the logic in that?"

"Did I need your help? Even if you didn't help me, so what if they found me? I'm the heiress of the Ellington Group. What could they possibly do?"

"Maybe nothing to you, but your cover would be blown. Mr. Ellington specifically gave orders that you absolutely cannot reveal your identity."

"Hmph!" Theresa scoffed.

Not only was she scared to death today, but she was also stuck with this jerk, Logan.

Theresa prepared to leave, only to discover the door had been locked from the outside.

She would have to climb out the window again.

But she couldn't do it alone.

Logan pretended not to notice.

Looking at the messy surroundings, the cockroaches scurrying in and out, and smelling the awful stench, Theresa didn't want to stay a second longer.

"I want to leave. Get me out of here," Theresa whispered, gripping the corner of Logan's shirt.

Seeing how scared she was, Logan didn't have the heart to tease her anymore.

"Let's go." Logan took her hand and walked directly to the door.

"Isn't it locked? How are we going to get out?"

"Locked doesn't mean it can't be opened."

As Logan spoke, he took a small tool from his pocket and fiddled with the lock core for a few seconds.

The door actually opened.

This skill was taught to him by his old unit commander.

When they were on missions, they often had to access secure locations. No matter the lock, they had a way to open it.

The door swung open, and Logan led her out.

"You... you could open it the whole time! Then why did you make me climb the window earlier?" Theresa asked angrily.
