Reborn Fake Heiress Watch the Whole Family Burn novel Chapter 799

"What? Do you know them?" Elena asked.

"I came to see you today specifically to rant about the most ridiculous thing that happened at work, and ironically, the main characters are right here. What a small world."

Theresa recounted the entire saga, explaining how Lorna was actually the butler's daughter. She couldn't stop laughing as she told the story.

Elena remained perfectly calm.

"Isn't it hilarious? She's parading around in my hand-me-downs, trying to show off, and demanding I pay for tearing them."

Elena chuckled and shook her head.

Seeing the two women happily chatting away, Dylan took the opportunity to excuse himself, mentioning that George Miller needed him for some urgent business.

"Finally, he's gone. Once we finish eating, let's hit the mall!" Theresa said cheerfully.

It had been ages since she and Elena had gone shopping together.

"By the way," Elena mentioned, "the police caught that couple who tried to kidnap you. They're serial offenders. You weren't the first, and several other girls fell for the same trap. Unfortunately, they weren't as lucky as you."

One of the victims had been lured to the house by Brenda posing as a pregnant woman. Because the victim was on her period, Hank couldn't assault her.

Enraged, he strangled her to death, dismembered the body, and hid the remains in the freezer.

That was the gruesome discovery Elena had made when she checked the appliance.

"That's absolutely sickening! Psychos like that deserve the death penalty!" Theresa said, her eyes flashing with anger.

"They're definitely getting lethal injection, so consider yourself avenged."

"Good. That's a massive relief. But since we're in a good mood today, let's drop the heavy stuff and go look at some clothes!" Theresa suggested.

"Sounds good."

The mall they were in had the dining options on the upper floor, with luxury boutiques occupying the levels below.

Theresa pulled Elena into a high-end designer bag boutique.

"None of your business," Theresa snapped, annoyed.

Charles smirked. "Theresa, if you can't afford anything, you shouldn't step into a place like this. Do you even know what store you're in? This is DeJoux. You didn't honestly think these were fifty-dollar knockoffs, did you?"

"Charles, are you out of your mind?"

"You're the one who's out of her mind. You don't have a princess's bank account, yet you've got a massive princess complex. First you destroy Lorna's dress, and now you're here pretending you can afford designer bags. If you ask me, you should stop wasting this associate's time and ruining her sales. Can't you see she wants nothing to do with you?"

Right on cue, the sales associate abandoned Theresa and practically glided over to Charles and Lorna with a glowing, welcoming smile.

It only took one glance at Lorna's head-to-toe designer outfit for the associate to recognize a real spender.

Theresa scoffed internally. *So what if she's dripping in designer labels? She's wearing my hand-me-downs.*

"Hi there. I'd like to purchase a bag. Actually, I want the exact one she's holding," Lorna said smoothly, pointing at Theresa.

The associate's eyes instantly snapped to the bag in Theresa's hands. "Well? Hand it over. If you can't afford it, stop hogging the merchandise and let me do my job."
