In the study, Francis was leisurely drinking coffee, and he looked very relaxed.
"How did it go? Did you find out anything?" Francis smiled calmly as he looked at Morgan.
Morgan was an outstanding person in Francis' eyes. He could succeed in everything that he wanted to do, so there shouldn't be any problem between him and Charlotte.
However, Morgan couldn't help but sigh. He sounded confused.
Francis immediately stopped what he was doing and looked at Morgan with a puzzled expression.
"What's wrong? Didn't it work out?"
"Well…" Morgan was hesitant, and he continued to sigh repeatedly. He looked very helpless.
"You're testing my patience! What's going on?" Francis shouted impatiently.
"There's nothing I can do. I have no idea either. I went into her room and talked to her, but she claimed there was nothing. She made me doubt whether she actually had the shares. Logically, she would have told me everything because she cares about me a lot," Morgan explained helplessly, looking visibly upset.
"Nothing at all? How is that possible?" Francis was surprised.
"It's true. Could it be that she doesn't have the shares at all?" Morgan asked cautiously.
Morgan would rather believe in Charlotte's affection for him than Francis' memory.
Morgan sounded a little sarcastic, and Francis couldn't help but narrow his eyes with displeasure.
"Bullshit! I came back from the capital with her. How could I not know? That bitch is actually wary of us and refuses to say anything. Sooner or later, I'll make her regret it!" Francis gritted his teeth and said angrily.
"No. I'm very tired. I don't feel like hiking," Charlotte shook her head and declined.
"Mom, how about I bring you abroad for some diving?" Morgan smiled while staring at Charlotte intently.
"Diving?"
Charlotte panicked. Although she didn't have any diving experience, she found his suggestion somewhat odd.
She shook her head again and said seriously, "No. I'm not going."
"Mom told me she wants to watch movies with me, so we won't be going out these few days," Anna said seriously.
Francis and Morgan felt frustrated and couldn't help but exchange glances. They wondered what was going on because something was definitely not right.
