Reborn From Ashes novel Chapter 368

Hayden looked at the table full of dishes—none of them had been left untouched. The food was a mess, and there were bits of food on the table.

Hayden, who had already given up hope on the Sterling family, couldn't help but laugh when he saw the scene. He wondered if this was their idea of inviting him back for a meal.

"The food isn't bad. I've saved some for you. Come and eat!" Charlotte smiled and hurriedly called him over with a wave of her hand.

"Why are you so late? Were you too busy with work?" Julia asked with concern.

"It's okay. It's fine if he's late. At least he's here now," Anna said with a smile.

The three of them put on their best attitude as they urged Hayden to come.

However, Hayden stood where he was and stared at them coldly. He didn't say anything, giving off a cold vibe.

"What are you doing over there? Come here right now," Francis said coldly with a frown.

Lily rolled her eyes at Hayden and said impatiently, "Oh, please… Why are you still pretending? Morgan's just peeled a lobster just for you."

They were dissatisfied with Hayden's attitude. After all, they had invited him over for a meal, but he had pulled a long face, looking like he wasn't here to eat.

Hayden frowned and pointed at the leftover food on the table as he asked coldly, "Is this how you treat your guests?"

"Is there a problem?" Anna asked, looking puzzled.

The others looked at the table, seeming to be unaware of anything.

The next moment, Charlotte, Anna, and Julia flushed with embarrassment.

According to the basics of hospitality, they should treat their guests to a proper meal. No one would have served leftovers to a guest. They were so used to it that they didn't even care about Hayden.

Lily was very unhappy. She glared at Hayden and snapped, "I told you to come for dinner, but why are you complaining and causing trouble? Since you left the Sterling family, you've become more and more sarcastic. It's a shame to waste food, so stop wasting time and come here to eat!"

She was angry that Hayden was causing trouble. After all, she had invited him over for a meal.

"Hayden, I didn't think this through. Please don't get mad," Charlotte quickly apologized. She feared that Hayden would continue to be upset.

"That's right. We'll have someone make another dish right away. Please sit down and eat," Julia persuaded.
