REBORN My Second Life I Became The Villianess novel Nysa and Dario Valteri Chapter 105
Not too far away, trapped at a table near the back, Nysa and Caroline looked sour all night. They sat in stiff, miserable silence, nursing identical glasses of untouched water while trying to pretend they weren't drowning in humiliation. Every time someone glanced their way, they shrank a little further into their chairs But Carlton on the other hand was talking with My father in law and Dad and A few other men , ignoring them.
I had told him to relax and enjoy himself. I had also ask Dar, Uncle pascal and My new father-in-law to keep him distracted and away from the two of them.
Soon enough, the lights dimmed slightly, and the DJ called our attention to the center of the room. Dario took my hand, leading me over to the multi-tiered wedding cake covered in delicate sugar roses. We wrapped our hands around the silver knife together, slicing through the sweet layers as camera flashes popped all around us.
After the cake cutting, the speeches began. Grandfather stood up first, offering a surprisingly warm toast about family and legacy. Then Vincenzo spoke, followed by a heartfelt, emotional speech from Carlton, who looked at me with pure pride in his eyes.
Finally, the music shifted into something slow and romantic, and Dario pulled me out onto the center of the dance floor. As he wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me flush against his chest, the rest of the crowded room seemed to fade away into a blur of light and shadow. I rested my hands flat against his jacket, letting myself relax completely into his hold as we swayed to the rhythm of the music.
Following dinner, where plate after plate of incredible food was served, we spent hours moving through the crowd, laughing, dancing, and soaking in the reality of the night. For the first time in two lifetimes, looking up at Dario in the middle of a room full of blinding lights and magic, I knew I was exactly where I was supposed to be.
The next morning came far too early, the sun was barley up, Mom, Grandmother, and the rest of the family gathered outside to send us off, waving with warm exhausted smiles. Ella and Bianca had spent the last hour helping pack my bags, double-checking every single detail before giving me one last tight hug and watching us head up the steps and onto Dario’s private jet.
The cabin door sealed shut behind us, cutting off the noise of the outside world. The second we settled into the plush leather seats and the engines began to hum, Dario reached out, grabbed my waist, and pulled me onto his lap.
He leaned in, taking my mouth in a deep kiss that left me breathless. When he pulled back just there was a dark, wicked smile in his face.
"You're my wife," he said against my skin and a thrill ran straight down my spine, and I smiled, wrapping my arms around his neck and returning his kiss with equal intensity.
I pulled back just enough to catch my breath, resting my forehead against his. "Where are we even going?"
He chuckled, his hands sliding down to grip my hips. "To my island and the second I have you on a flat surface, I'm fucking you through the night." he said and a moan escaped my lips right into his mouth, and he groaned, deepening the kiss as the jet taxied down the runway and lifted smoothly into the sky.
I didn't move an inch for the entire five-hour flight. I stayed right there, curled up comfortably in his lap, talking, dozing, and letting the quiet isolation of the private cabin wrap around us.
When the jet finally touched down with a soft bump on a small, sun-drenched private airstrip, the doors opened to a rush of warm, tropical air. A single security detail waiting on the tarmac stepped forward, quietly taking our bags and loading them into a waiting vehicle before driving them ahead toward the estate.
The mansion sitting at the edge of the coastline was breathtaking, constructed almost entirely of floor-to-ceiling glass panels that reflected the bright ocean water stretching out endlessly in every direction.
Before I could even step down from the stairs, Dario scooped me up easily into his arms, carrying me bridal-style across the pristine stone pathway and straight toward the glass doors of the house.
The lone security detail watched them go, offering a brief nod before heading back to the jet. The moment the aircraft doors closed and the engines roared to life, the jet lifted off the ground, turning upward and disappearing into the bright blue sky, leaving us completely isolated on the private island.
The second the sound of the jet engines faded away into absolute silence, Dario kicked the front door shut, turned, and pounced on me.
The next morning came far too early, the golden light of dawn barely stretching across the dew-covered grass of the estate. Elena, Grandmother, and the rest of the family gathered outside to send us off, waving with warm, exhausted smiles. Ella and Bianca had spent the last hour helping pack my bags, double-checking every single detail before giving me one last tight hug and watching us head up the steps and onto Dario’s private jet.
The heavy cabin door sealed shut behind us, cutting off the noise of the outside world. The second we settled into the plush leather seats and the engines began to hum, Dario reached out, grabbed my waist, and hauled me straight onto his lap.
