After Dario left, I called Chloe to check in. Chloe answered on the second ring and she sounded excited.

"Okay, I can practically hear your excitement through the phone," I said.

Between the video of Nysa being used by those men, the video of her walking around looking like a mad woman, and the news interview Caroline and nysa gave, it's going crazy. I smiled. "Well, that was to be expected. Call the other one and have him make sure everything is good. I'm not going to the office anytime soon."

My phone started ringing again. It was Jax, I answered. "Talk to me, Jax."

"Okay, that's good. Keep eyes on him," I said, and ended the call.

I sat there in the living room for a while. My father, uncle, grandfather, and Vincenzo were all walking around on their phones, talking in hushed tones. I sighed, knowing I would get bored, so I headed to my room, grabbed my laptop, and did some work.

When it got close to lunchtime, there was a knock on my door. I opened it, and my father was standing there.

"What's going on?" I asked.

Dad looked at me. "My men were trailing Russo's men, but they gave us the slip." he said. Just then, my phone started ringing, I grabbed it. It was Jax. I answered and put it on speaker. "Talk to me."

"I got eyes on Caroline and Nysa. They just left the Vexari compound, there's a car following them. Doesn't look like it's the Valteris or the Cruz. I'm trailing behind at a good distance," Jax said.

"Good, keep at a good distance. We just need a rough idea of where they meet," I said.

"Got it," Jax said, and ended the call.

I looked at my father. "So your men can't find Russo then. I guess it's my turn to be the bait." I said with a smile. My father hesitated for a second. "We'll need to discuss this with Dario." he said.

"Discuss what?" Dario asked, walking up from the end of the hallway.

I leaned against the door frame and crossed my arms. "Me being bait, those glorified security details couldn't find Russo's base." I said with a sigh.

Dario sighed. "I know I won't be able to stop you. Fine, do whatever. But you need to tell your mother-in-law. I won't be the one to get a tongue lashing from her." he said.

I rolled my eyes. "Wuss. Fine, I'll tell her myself." I said. I headed back to my room and grabbed my phone. I was about to dial Elena's number before I realized she was still in the air on the way to the family island. I shoved the phone into my pocket and headed out.

"I'm hungry," I said, walking toward the living room.

During lunch, Jax called. I answered right away and put the phone on speaker.

"Talk to me, Jax," I said.

"Boss, you got incoming problems," Jax said. "I followed Caroline and Nysa from a distance. I followed them all the way out of the city, about one mile out, and Russo has set up a base out here. I drove one mile down the road and made my way back on foot. There's a secret entrance. It looks like this man moved half his men here."

"Got it, just send me the location and we'll handle it," I said.
