REBORN My Second Life I Became The Villianess novel Nysa and Dario Valteri Chapter 131
"Let me go, you fucking little bitch! I'll kill you!" She shrieked, her voice cracking with raw, unfiltered fury.
"Shut up, you're so annoying," I said, my voice flat and devoid of any warmth. "Now be quiet and listen, or you'll miss the best part."
I turned away from her, walked back over to the table, and unlatched the small case. I picked up the scalpel, feeling the familiar, balanced weight of the steel handle between my fingers. Turning back around, I walked slowly over and stood right in front of Nysa, looking down at the woman who had tormented me across two lifetimes.
"Don't you want to know why I was always one step ahead of you?" I asked, tilting my head slightly as I watched her chest heave with ragged breaths. "Don't you want to know why none of your schemes or little tricks ever worked? Or how come I found out that you're actually my mother? Don't you ever wonder why Dario never looked at you even once?" I asked.
She was smart ,because she stayed quiet, though her eyes were practically burning holes through me, full of pure, unadulterated hatred. She didn't say a single word, refusing to give me the satisfaction of asking.
"I'll tell you the truth," I continued, stepping an inch closer. "Do you know people can die and return?" I asked.
I watched her closely, and even through her rage, I could see a brief flash of confusion ripple across her face.
"This is my second time around. My second life," I said, a dark smile touching my lips. "In the last life, you tortured me. You made my life absolute hell just because I was better than you, more beautiful and smarter . You killed me on a lonely, desolate road. In that last life, you married Dario, but you were miserable, and you ended up destroying the entire Valteri family. But guess what? Dario was reborn too. That's why he never even looked at you, and why he never will." I said with a smile.
"No... no, that's not possible," she muttered, her voice shaking slightly as panic began to overtake her anger.
"Oh, it is possible. And here are some more surprises," I said, stepping closer still, letting the tip of the scalpel catch the harsh overhead light. "I don't just work at Cipher Core. I own it. In my last life, you stole it from me, but in this life, I was always ahead of you. I was the one who paid that woman to come to the house and accuse Caroline of cheating. And do you want to know something else?"
I paused, letting the silence stretch before delivering the final blow.
"That chair you're sitting in right now? Your dear mother Caroline sat in it too. Oh, right, you probably haven't heard the breaking news yet. Caroline is dead. I killed her right here, right in that very chair," I said.
Hearing those words, Nysa lost her mind. She started screaming at the top of her lungs, thrashing violently against the chair, her face turning red as she cursed and cried all at once.
I walked towards her slowly, unfazed by the noise. When I raised my hand and pressed the cold edge of the scalpel right against the skin of her neck, she instantly stopped screaming, her crying cutting off mid-sob as her entire body froze in sheer terror.
"My dear mother... did you really think following Russo was a good idea?" I whispered, my voice chillingly calm. "I would have eventually spared your life, Nysa. But you killed my child. And for that, I will never forgive you."
I slowly and deliberately moved the scalpel across her throat. Warm, dark blood instantly spilled over my hands as her body jerked violently in a final, frantic spasm.
I stepped back, wiping my hands on a cloth, and watched quietly as the blood sprayed across the cold concrete floor, ending it all once and for all.
I stood back and smiled, watching as the dark blood spurted out from Nysa’s neck, the steady pulsing of her failing heartbeat slowing down by the second until her head slumped forward. The heavy silence of the basement settled back over us, thick with the iron scent of death.
The heavy steel door behind me clicked and swung open. Jax walked in without making a sound. He stopped a few feet away from me, taking in the scene with a neutral expression.
"I'll dispose of the body," Jax said.
"Dario already suspects that I have Nysa, if her body is ever found then he'll know I did it," I said.
Jax moved and stood beside me. "You said something," Jax asked and I sighed.
"He asked what I did to caroline, so I told him i killed her, then he got a call saying they found caroline's body," I said with a sigh.
"So his reaction was not what you expected, thats why you left," Jax said.
