REBORN My Second Life I Became The Villianess novel Nysa and Dario Valteri Chapter 60
The whole table went quiet. Forks stopped moving and nobody spoke for a second. Ella let out a loud scoff and rolled her eyes. "Well, she sure showed up fast. Zero shame." she said.
Elena let out a long sigh and shook her head, looking over at me. "I simply cannot understand how she is so different from you, sweetheart." she said softly. I let out a soft sigh and took a sip of water. "She was spoiled and pampered her whole life," I said calmly. "So she expects to always have her way no matter what."
Dario looked across the table at me. A little smirk played on his lips. "Why don't you go handle it" he said. "See what your sister wants."
I nodded. "Okay." I pushed my chair back, stood up, and excused myself from the table.
Vincenzo looked worried. He turned to Dario. "Dario, that woman is unhinged. She might try to hurt Nyxara." he said. But Dario didn't look worried at all. He just cut a piece of meat on his plate. "She won't," he said calmly.
I walked out of the warm dining room and headed through the hallway toward the front entrance. The door was open a crack, letting in the cool night air and the sound of Nysa screaming bloody murder. I pushed the door open all the way and stepped outside onto the porch lights.
Two security guards had Nysa by the arms. She was struggling, kicking her legs, and screaming at the top of her lungs, wearing a messy outfit and looking completely out of her mind.
"Let me go right now!" she shrieked, thrashing around. "Do you know who I am? Let me in!" I walked down the steps slowly, keeping my face calm and soft. I looked at the two guards. "It’’s okay, you can let go of her," I said in a quiet voice. "And you can leave."
The guards stopped and looked at each other, frowning with worry. They knew how crazy Nysa was acting, and they were supposed to protect me. But they also knew who I was now. I wore the Valteri ring. I was the mistress of the house. After a few second of hesitation, they let go of her arms and stepped back. They turned around and walked away, heading back inside the house and leaving us alone on the porch.
Nysa stumbled forward, catching her balance. She glared at me with pure venom in her eyes, her chest heaving as she breathed hard.
As soon as the guards were out of sight, I dropped the weak, polite girl attitude. My shoulders relaxed, as a cold smile spread across my face. I looked down at my crazy sister with amusement.
After I made sure the guards were out of sight and the front door was shut tight behind us, I let out a low breath and let the fake, timid girl act slip right off my shoulders. I dropped my head just a fraction, letting a cold, sharp smirk cut across my face as I stared straight down at her.
She stood there with her chest heaving, her eyes were locked on me with a hatred so hot and thick it practically burned the cold night air between us. She looked like a complete mess, her hair was sticking to her sweaty face, her designer jacket was wrinkled from the guards grabbing her.
"I should have fucking killed you when you were born," he spat out, her voice shaking with pure, unadulterated venom as she took a step toward me. I didn't even flinch. I let out a soft, mocking chuckle. I tilted my head to the side and looked at her like she was a bug I could squish whenever I felt like it.
"But you didn't, did you?" I whispered back, my voice dripping with dark amusement. "Mom and Dad raised me and now look at how things turned out. Dad literally dotes on me now, while you are standing out here on the cold stone screaming like a stray dog."
I started taking my time walking down the front steps. One slow, deliberate step at a time. With every single step I took toward her , I shed a little bit more of that meek, weak, obedient sister act I had been putting on for years.
My posture straightened up, my shoulders rolled back, and the aura of cold, ruthless power that I usually kept hidden behind my computer screens at Cipher Core came flooding to the surface.
I decided to do the most wicked thing I could possibly think of to break her completely. Slowly and deliberately, I pushed my left hand right out into her face, holding it up so the porch light hit the blood-red ruby.
"Look at this," I whispered, my voice smooth and mocking. "Isn't this ring just so beautiful?"
