The three of them found a random barbecue place that was still open along the street.
The restaurant wasn’t crowded, with only a few scattered tables. They sat down near the air conditioner. Estelle Goodman took out her phone, scanned the QR code, and handed it to Blair. "You order. As a thank you, this one’s on me!"
"Thank you? For what?" Blair asked, looking confused.
Estelle’s eyes widened. "For taking us to such an interesting place, of course! Seriously, I’ve only ever seen a scene like that in the movies. I never thought I’d see it in real life, let alone be there in person."
Cecilia Sterling looked at her and chuckled. "Weren’t you so scared you were trying to drag me away earlier? Now you sound like you wish it hadn’t ended."
"I was definitely scared, but it was also really exciting. I think it was more thrilling than a roller coaster."
Hearing this, Blair Golding just pursed her lips. "Whatever. If you’re paying, I’ll order whatever I want."
"Go ahead. Order anything you want."
Just then, Cecilia remembered something important. She turned to Estelle and said, "Estelle, could I trouble your dad for a favor?"
"My dad?" Estelle froze, then instinctively retorted, "Why are you asking my dad for help instead of me?"
"There’s a national artificial intelligence technology conference in Lorcain mid-month. I want to get an invitation for Rowe’s team. Can you handle that?"
"Nope, I can’t do that," Estelle admitted readily, but then she agreed, "But I can ask my dad for you. The Goodman Group usually takes the lead in organizing these kinds of conferences, so he’ll definitely have a way."
Cecilia smiled and nodded. "If your father is willing to help, I’ll find a chance to thank him in person."
Estelle waved her hand dismissively. "No need to be so formal with him."
After Blair Golding finished ordering, she returned the phone to Estelle. Estelle glanced at the order and couldn’t help but exclaim in shock, "It’s all meat! How do you stay in such good shape eating like this?"
"I burn a lot of energy every day. If I don’t eat meat, I feel like I have no strength," Blair explained.
Cecilia studied Blair’s bare arms. They weren’t much thicker than her own, but they looked incredibly powerful because the muscle definition was so clear.
"Blair, you practice Martial Arts, right?" Cecilia asked.
Blair Golding nodded.
Estelle said excitedly, "Can Cecilia and I learn? Those moves you used today were so cool! I was completely stunned. That huge boxer guy... you took him down in just a few moves! I want to be as amazing as you."
"It’s too late for you two to start learning martial arts now." Blair shook her head and explained seriously, "Training in Martial Arts is all about building a foundation from childhood. You have to start young. I began my training when I was three, and I haven’t slacked off for a single day since. An adult’s bones are already fully formed. It’s incredibly difficult to start halfway through. You wouldn’t be able to handle the hardship."
Estelle certainly didn’t look like someone who could endure hardship.
And Cecilia had no intention of suffering through martial arts training anyway.
"Still, it’s pretty rare to see a girl who practices Martial Arts," Cecilia remarked casually.
Blair sighed at her words. "There aren’t many boys, either. There are very few Martial Arts schools left in the country to begin with, and on top of that, most parents nowadays prefer things like Taekwondo or Judo. They’re a lot less demanding compared to Cathay Martial Arts. At the end of the day, it’s because training in Martial Arts is too hard, and parents can’t bear to see their children suffer."
"So who did you learn from?" Cecilia asked curiously.
