Chapter 55
It took Elizabeth a long time to react. Her eyes instantly turned red
with anger, and she raised her hand to slap Isabella. “You bitch…”
Isabella caught her wrist before it made contact, gripping it firmly.
“Let go of me!” Elizabeth snarled, glaring at her own wrist locked in
Isabella’s hand.
“Can’t you break free yourself?” Isabella mocked her.
Elizabeth struggled. Nothing moved. Frustrated, she shouted, “Aria,
Zoey, what are you standing there for? Are you stupid?”
Aria snapped out of her shock and started toward Isabella.
Before Aria could get close, Isabella kicked her hard. Aria flew back,
hit the ground, and knocked over a water bucket on the way down.
Aria clutched her stomach, looking at Isabella in disbelief.
“Aria, what’s wrong?”
Zoey rushed to help Aria up.

Aria lay on the ground clutching her stomach in pain, tears streaming
down her eyes.. Her face looked terrible.
“Zoey something’s wrong-” she managed. “It really hurts.”
Zoey rushed to her, then looked back at Isabella with something new
in her eyes. Fear.
Elizabeth’s expression darkened. She yelled at Isabella, “What’s wrong
with you!”
That sharp voice hit the eardrums directly like a needle.
She squeezed Elizabeth’s wrist bone hard.
This joint was much more fragile than any other joint Isabella had
broken before.
Elizabeth cried out in pain.
Isabella didn’t want to make this bigger and shoved her back.
Elizabeth fell to the ground awkwardly.
She knew she wasn’t as strong as Isabella, Elizabeth didn’t dare move.
She looked up at Isabella with eyes full of humiliation and fury. “Have

Which hand did you use just now?
Isabella’s hand gently gripped her right arm.
Before Elizabeth could say anything.
Quick as lightning, Isabella dislocated her arm.
Elizabeth didn’t even have time to scream.
The sound of bones shifting out of place was horrifying to Aria and
Zoey.
They were completely stunned.
Elizabeth burst into tears. Her arm hurt so much, and her thrashing
head was forcibly held down by Isabella, leaving her unable to move.
She stared wide–eyed, tears soaking her entire face, “Isabella, you
psycho! Let me go! Let go of me!”
It hurts so much, it’s so unbearable.
How dare this bitch? How dare she treat her like this?

Chapter 55
Whatever the reason, being assigned to live with this group made
Isabella very unhappy.
Who wants to sleep with a bunch of mean girls every day? Living with
this group meant conflict was practically guaranteed, every single
day.
She was still thinking this over when Scarlett’s voice pulled her back..
“Isabella, thank you.”
She hadn’t met her before. It was only when Isabella introduced
herself just now that she learned her name was Isabella.
Isabella came back to her senses and smiled. “You’re welcome.”
Scarlett looked at her, and remembered the resentment and anger
written on Elizabeth’s face. Her anxiety and guilt returned
immediately. “You’re in the same dorm as Elizabeth. Will she take
revenge on you?”
She was panicking now.
She knew how terrible it was to be targeted by Elizabeth and her
group. She had experienced it herself and lived in pain every day. She
didn’t want Isabella to get into trouble.

worried, but something about Isabella’s composure made her believe
it anyway.
At the infirmary, the school nurse was startled when she saw the
disheveled girl. “What happened? How did you end up like this?”
Scarlett’s clothes were dirty, her sleeves torn, and she had scratches
of all sizes on her arms, ankles, and face. The serious ones were
already seeping blood.
“I’m… I’m fine,” Scarlett said softly with her head down. “I just fell.”
The nurse didn’t press. She reached for antiseptic and cotton swabs.
“Come, sit down. Let me treat your wounds.”
Isabella looked at Scarlett’s pained but enduring face with mixed
feelings.
She didn’t know if her intervention could change Scarlett’s tragic
ending from her past life, but she hoped her help could pull her out of
the abyss.
Coming out of the infirmary, Scarlett looked at her. “Thank you for
coming with me.”
Isabella handed her a packet of milk and cookies. “See you tomorrow.”

reflexively sat up.
The face mask fell off.
The beautician was startled, “Mrs. Taylor? What’s wrong?”
Olivia clutched her chest and took a deep breath, “Nothing, I just
remembered I have something to do at home.”
“Then, the next steps…”
“I won’t do them. Just do a facial cleanse and I’ll leave.”
Olivia lay down and closed her eyes.
Even though she tried hard to control it, she couldn’t suppress her
anger. Olivia’s nails dug into her palm until it bled.
Half an hour later, in the office.
The dislocated arm had already been reset by the doctor in the
infirmary, but the bones still ached faintly.

interfered and invited trouble on themselves.
Isabella’s action made Elizabeth feel challenged, instantly stirring up
her anger.
She stared at Isabella, speaking in a low voice, “Classmate, are you
brainless?”
Who could be stupid enough to go against her?
Isabella turned around, looking at her with some amusement. “You’re
bullying someone and you think you’re in the right?”
“What’s that got to do with you?” Elizabeth looked at Isabella with
mocking provocation. “Are you deliberately trying to ruin my fun?”
Isabella twisted her mouth and, even more arrogantly, she answered,
“Yes.” The girls were all stunned by her audaciousness.
Aria glanced at Isabella’s bed. “Elizabeth, she’s new here.”
“I don’t care if she’s new or old!”

In anger, Elizabeth took the rest of the expired drink in her hand and
walked over to Isabella’s bed. Right in front of her, she poured the
drink onto the clean bed.

stomach, when she suddenly felt something approaching. She glanced
toward the door and her laughter stopped dead.
Elizabeth hadn’t noticed yet. Still playing with the hammer in her
hand and laughing, she said, “What silly stuff. She looks strange and
not very bright. She might not be the sharpest…
Zoey whispered a warning: “Elizabeth, she’s here.”
Elizabeth immediately looked toward the door..
Sure enough, Isabella was standing at the entrance of dorm 701,
holding a bag of cookies, quietly watching them.
The evening breeze blew into the dorm, bringing a faint chill.
Elizabeth, holding the hammer, swallowed hard, her expression
freezing for a moment.
Isabella glanced around.
Her clothes had all been cut up and thrown on the floor, on the bed,
and in the trash can.
The sheets had been soaked with water, trash thrown on them,
shampoo poured over them–completely ruined.

And her suitcase had also been stuffed full of garbage.
Elizabeth gave Isabella a contemptuous glance, looked away, tossed
the hammer back onto Isabella’s bed, and shrugged Aria, Zoey, let’s go

Aria and Zoey snapped back to attention, acting as if nothing had
happened, “Great! I’m starving.”
“How about we get steak?”
“Let’s go to that restaurant we went to last time, what do you say?”
The girls chatted back and forth, brazenly treating Isabella like she
was invisible.
“The steak at that restaurant last time tasted a bit off. Let’s try a
different one–I think a new place just opened next door.”
“Okay, let’s grab some coffee first!”
“…”
The girls walked past Isabella one by one.
Elizabeth was the last one.

you thought about the consequences of treating me like this?”
“Nope,” Isabella said carelessly.
She turned around and glanced at Scarlett, who had countless
scratches all over her body.
Isabella frowned. “Come on, let’s go to the infirmary.”
Elizabeth watched Isabella’s back as they walked away, shaking with
rage. “Just you wait, I’ll make you pay!”
She shouted as tears ran down her cheeks.
Isabella didn’t expect to be assigned to the same dorm as Elizabeth
and her group.
She was in Class 11, while Elizabeth was in Class 10 next door.
Logically, she shouldn’t be in the same dorm as Elizabeth’s group.
The only possibility was that Class 11’s dorms were full, and only
Class 10 had space left, so the school arranged it this way–after all,
she had applied to board midway through.

couldn’t help but shout angrily.
“You’re only now realizing I’m sick?” Isabella looked at her with
amusement, “Isn’t it a bit late?”
Aria’s lips trembled. She glanced at Elizabeth, who looked terrified,
and shouted with red eyes, “Elizabeth, don’t be scared. I’m going to
get a teacher right now!”
She turned and ran off quickly.
Isabella watched her figure disappear, let out a cold laugh, and
released Elizabeth.
“Elizabeth, are you okay?” Zoey, who had stayed behind, quickly went
forward to check on her.
“My… my hand hurts so much, Zoey, what happened to my hand? Is it
broken?”
Elizabeth backed away in panic, practically crawling to the dorm
entrance.

“Elizabeth, don’t be scared. I’ll take you to the infirmary.” Zoey pulled
Elizabeth’s left hand and helped her up.
Elizabeth had never been so humiliated, never felt so awful.
She’d never suffered this kind of injustice.
“Isabella, you’re finished! No one will ever treat me like this again!”
she cried as Zoey helped her away, “I’m going to tell my mom and
make your whole family pay!”
Not long after Elizabeth left, Aria came back, looking at her smugly,
“Isabella, your homeroom teacher knows about this.”
“She wants you to go to her office right now!”
Olivia was at the beauty salon getting a treatment when she received
a call from the eleventh–grade homeroom teacher.
She was wondering why the teacher would call at this time, then
heard that Isabella had just arrived at school and slapped a
roommate, and even dislocated the girl’s arm.
Olivia could hardly believe it. Blood rushed to her head, and she

“See you tomorrow?” Scarlett blinked in confusion.
“Yes, I’m also in Class 11, so see you in class tomorrow.”
Scarlett stared at her. She had assumed, seeing Isabella in Elizabeth’s
dorm, that she must be in Class 10..
Scarlett looked at the milk and cookies in her hand, her eyes getting
moist.
If it hadn’t been for Isabella today, she really didn’t know what
terrible things she would have faced.
“Oh my god, what is all this cheap junk!”
Dorm 701 was in chaos after Isabella left.
Elizabeth and the others surrounded Isabella’s suitcase, laughing
hysterically.
“Three–dollar shampoo?”
“Haha! And look at this–people still use bar soap!”

After the warning, Zoey shoved her away.
The metal bucket in the corner was kicked over with a dull thud.
Scarlett huddled in the corner, looking down at her knees that were
scraped bloody from the impact. She clenched her fists, tears falling
uncontrollably…

She could hear the sound of footsteps and girls giggling outside the
door, and then suddenly, the door was kicked open.
Isabella raised her head but before she could see what was happening,
a girl flew into the room and fell at her feet.
The girls at the door seemed surprised to find someone in the room.
The moment they saw Isabella, their eyes flashed with astonishment.
“Elizabeth Perez, how come there’s an extra person in our dorm?”
Elizabeth ignored the question and focused all her attention on the
girl sprawled on the floor.
She glanced at Isabella, looked away, strode into the dorm and locked
the door behind her. The dorm was now, all of a sudden, crowded.
Elizabeth crouched down in front of the girl, looking at her with a teasing gaze. “What a coincidence, Scarlett Lewis. Running into you
on the first day of school.”

After she heard Elizabeth say that name, Isabella’s heart skipped a
beat. She knew Scarlett. They were in the same class!
From what she remembered, this Scarlett was very pretty, and when
she first joined Class 11, Scarlett was in the top five on the class
roster, which meant she had good grades.
However, after commencing the second semester of senior year,
during the first exam of the month, the homeroom teacher
announced that several students‘ performance levels had dropped
significantly, and Scarlett’s name was among them.
She had dropped from the top thirty in the grade to three hundredth
place.
Isabella didn’t have good relationships with her classmates, and she
had even less contact with Scarlett. She always thought that Scarlett’s
haggardness and poor mental state was a result of her declining
grades, causing her stress.
When it was close to the S.A.T, some shocking news broke out that
Scarlett had killed herself, jumping from the top of the school
building. The high school immediately dismissed the information,
causing all sorts of rumors about Scarlett’s death to fly around.
What Isabella heard most was that she had been bullied to death. The

news of her mom being a janitor at the school got out somehow, and
everyone knew about it.
From then on, Elizabeth and her group of mean girls set their sights
on Scarlett, and she became a victim of their bullying.
During senior year graduation, she’d seen Scarlett’s mom at the
school gate, holding up a banner that read, ‘Stellar High School, give
back my daughter’s innocence!‘
Eventually, it all died down. The police ruled Scarlett’s death as a
suicide. Their investigations concluded that she’d jumped on her own.
As for the bullying, there was no evidence.
Lost in her thoughts, Isabella suddenly heard a helpless scream ring
out. Elizabeth was violently pulling Scarlett’s hair.
“Say something?” She said with a smile before reaching out to pull
the clip out of Scarlett’s hair. “What’s this you’re wearing? Let’s see!”
“Don’t.”
Scarlett tried to stop her from taking the hair clip, which seemed to
hold some sentimental meaning to her.
“Let go!” Elizabeth frowned in displeasure. “Give it to me, you hear
me?”
Scarlett held on tight.
Elizabeth’s mood instantly soured. She tried to pry Scarlett’s hands
open, and when she couldn’t, she dragged her hair some more and
pulled at her scalp, eager to get the clip.
Scarlett cried intermittently, “Don’t…”
“Aria! Zoey! What are you standing there for? Hurry up and grab that
thing from this little bitch!” Elizabeth shrieked.
Aria walked over and pinched Scarlett’s neck.
Zoey grabbed Scarlett’s arm and Elizabeth finally snatched the hair
clip.
“What is this thing? Disgusting!”
Elizabeth looked at the clip in her hand, the kind you could tell at a
glance was cheap.
S
“Scarlett, is your family really this poor? You protect a cheap hair clip
like your life depends on it. I thought it was some kind of treasure!”
Aria stood to the side with her arms crossed, laughing mockingly.
“Her mom’s working as a janitor, what do you expect?”
Scarlett crawled up from the floor, crying, “Give it back.”
She threw it into the trash, and Scarlett started digging through it.
Elizabeth and the others laughed at the sight. “Are you crazy? Digging
through trash?”
Scarlett still found the clip in there, picked it up and put it back in
her pocket.
She rose and ran toward the door, but Zoey sneered, walked over and
kicked her in the back. Scarlett cried out painfully.
Elizabeth walked over, grabbed her wrist, pulled her back, and pushed
her hard to the ground. “Where do you think you’re going? Did I say
you could leave?”
Scarlett sat on the floor, crying so hard she could barely breathe.
“What are you crying about?”

Elizabeth smiled as she grabbed Scarlett’s chin, pried open her
mouth, and prepared to pour the expired drink into it.

Suddenly, a hand came out of nowhere and grabbed her wrist.
“That’s enough.
“What are you doing? Are you going to keep this up?”
The voice was fierce and low.
Elizabeth was startled and immediately looked at Isabella, her face
showing displeasure. “What did you just say?”
“I said, that’s enough.”
Isabella looked over the group, her tone softening slightly. “Let her
go.”
Isabella’s arrogant tone irritated Elizabeth, causing her to demand
loudly, “Who are you? Mind your own business!”
“Who I am doesn’t matter,” she calmly replied, letting go of her and
helped Scarlett to her feet.
Scarlett looked up at her in surprise.
This wasn’t the first time Elizabeth and her friends were mistreating
her. At times, others witnessed it but this was the first time someone
