Hayden rubbed his temples, letting out a deep sigh.
Olivia had suggested keeping Isabella’s identity a secret to avoid upsetting Bianca. Hayden didn’t see any harm in it and agreed.
At first, Isabella seemed fine with the arrangement, but why had she changed her mind now?
“Dream on,” Olivia said, her face tightening. “Isabella, do you even know what it takes to be a socialite? Just look at your makeup-you’re going frighten everyone at the party. ”
Isabella rubbed her cheek. “That’s just a minor issue. I still look good without makeup.”
Olivia took a deep breath. “You’re so vain.”
“Isabella, you’re my daughter too, but the Taylor Family has only one officially recognized daughter. If we reveal your identity, what about Bianca? She’s already accustomed to her role and can’t easily adapt to a new one.”
Bianca was already devastated on learning she wasn’t their biological daughter. If we announced publicly that she was never Hayden’s daughter, she wouldn’t be able to handle the blow. She’d feel abandoned by the Taylor Family.
“Just be good and don’t compete with Bianca,” Olivia added.
Bianca immediately felt relieved.
With everything happening it seemed Isabella was destined to be disappointed.
Gabriel wasn’t hiding his disgust as he looked at Isabella. “Can you really handle what you’re asking for? All you do is take!”
Isabella lifted her eyes slightly. “It’s mine to begin with, how is that taking?”
“You pretended to want me back, while all you want was for me to endure and compromise? How does that make any sense to you? If you feel you don’t need me, then let me go back to the mountains. I’m not getting anything here anyways.”
Hayden frowned. How had Isabella suddenly become so spoiled? he wondered to himself.
“What do you want, Isabella?” he asked.
Although Isabella seemed unusual today, her words had some truth. She was a young girl and his biological daughter. If she came down from the mountains and got nothing, it was understandable she’d be upset.
Isabella thought for a moment, then licked her lips lightly. “I would like to have Bianca’s room.”
She pouted and complained, “My current room is too small; I really don’t like it.”
Olivia immediately said, “No way!”
“There are so many rooms in this house, why do you insist on having Bianca’s?”
Isabella leaned against the doorframe, casually saying, “The room is spacious , it’s bright and I like it.”
“Ridiculous!” Gabriel was furious. “Of course, Bianca’s room is spacious and bright, but why should it be yours?”
Isabella actually wanted Bianca’s room. He wouldn’t allow it!
Olivia looked at Isabella. “You can have any room except Bianca’s.”
The Taylor Villa had no shortage of rooms. When Isabella first arrived, seeing Bianca cry so much made Olivia feel resentful towards Isabella. She deliberately arranged for Isabella to stay in a small room.
The main reason was that Isabella looked so obedient, as if she would unconditionally comply with anything said to her. She initially had no objections to the arrangement.
Since Isabella didn’t bring it up, Olivia felt justified. She thought maybe the conditions in the mountains were worse than the small room.
But unexpectedly, Isabella had grown bold and now set her sights on Bianca’s room.
