Chapter 7
“Hayden,” Olivia protested, struggling to accept the arrangement.
“Isabella can stay in any room, but Bianca’s health isn’t great. She’s
sensitive to the cold, and that room gets the best sunlight…”
Isabella snapped back, “Just because she’s sick does that mean I’m
perfectly fine? I’ve been suffering for years too. Why can’t I have
some comfort for once?”
Gabriel couldn’t hold back. “You can’t compare yourself to Bianca!
Her health comes first!”
Isabella’s eyes narrowed at Gabriel. “Who can’t compare to whom?
Dad already said that I’m the biological daughter! She’s just a fake;
why should she be compared to me?”
She turned to Hayden, “Right, Dad?”
Hayden’s face darkened.
He knew that if he didn’t change the room today, Isabella would never
let it go.
“It’s decided. Bianca will move out and give the room to Isabella,”

Hayden declared with a wave of his hand.
Bianca’s face crumpled as tears streamed freely. Why was it always
Isabella? Why did she always have to steal what mattered to her?
Wouldn’t it be easier if she were simply gone?
Olivia noticed Bianca’s distressed expression, her heart aching. She
tried to comfort her. “Bianca, don’t cry. Pick any room you want, and
I’ll hire the best designer to decorate it exactly the way you like. It’ll
be even better than your old room.”
Bianca took several deep breaths, wiping her tears with the back of her hand. “Mom, it’s okay. I don’t mind. I’m willing to give it to
Isabella, as long as she likes it.”
Watching Bianca handle it so calmly made Olivia proud… and painfully aware of how much her daughter had grown.
“If you agreed, then why didn’t you say it earlier? What were you waiting for?” Isabella burst out, her voice loud and cutting, making
everyone jump.
Olivia took several seconds to react, pointing at Isabella’s retreating
figure, ready to explode. “You…”
Isabella slammed the door, the bang echoing through the house.

Olivia’s face darkened. “She’s actually angry?” Gabriel’s fists clenched
at his sides.
When had Isabella changed so much? She felt like a stranger now.
That evening, Isabella changed the bandage on her wound and sat
back on her small bed, holding a book.
But she wasn’t really focused on reading.
Now that she was back, she no longer wanted to please anyone.
From today’s events, she could see that Hayden still retained some
semblance of a father’s conscience. Or perhaps she had just returned,
and the disgraceful acts hadn’t been fully committed yet.
In the next four years, the Taylor Family would gradually decline and,
when they reached rock bottom, both Hayden and Olivia would show
their true colors.
Olivia was greedy for wealth and driven by vanity.
Hayden prioritized his own interests, even being willing to sell his
daughter.
Chapter 7
In this household, only by showing Hayden and Olivia her value could
she earn a modicum of respect.
Isabella was organizing her thoughts when her phone on the
nightstand suddenly vibrated.
She put down the book and saw a familiar number. Her pupils shrank
as she recognized the last four digits.
She remembered the night before her death. A man’s voice had
crackled through the phone, tense and deliberate. “Don’t go to the
recognition banquet tomorrow.”
“They want to marry you off to Michael. Marry me instead.”
Isabella suddenly sat up in bed!
Was it William?
But…
In her previous life, there had been no such call. She hadn’t even
crossed paths with Sophia yet. And William? She hadn’t known him
either.
Swallowing her unease, Isabella picked up. “Hello?”

There was only eerie silence on the other end.
Isabella couldn’t help but call out again, “Hello, who is this?”
Meanwhile, at the Brown Group building in the city center.
William stood by the floor–to–ceiling window, tightly gripping his
phone.
He heard the girl’s soft, pleasant voice: “Hello, who is this?”
William’s eyes, previously filled with regret and pain, softened for a
moment before the emotion vanished.
He disconnected the call the instant he heard her speak. She was
alive.
And that meant she was still his to find.
The next morning.
Isabella sat with her legs crossed, leaning back in her chair with a
somewhat nonchalant attitude.

Chapter 7
Servants moved back and forth in front of her, carrying boxes of
Bianca’s belongings from the room to the empty one across the hall.
Bianca’s new room was also spacious, though not as large as the
current one.
“Isabella, you’re so heartless!” Gabriel glared at Isabella and shouted,
“Bianca considers you her sister, but you only bully her!”
“Gabriel, don’t say that about Isabella. These things were originally
Isabella’s,” Bianca forced a smile despite her gloomy expression.
Gabriel felt a mix of bitterness and pain seeing Bianca’s smile, which
only fueled his hatred for Isabella.
He angrily lifted a box in front of him, refusing to even glance at
Isabella as he moved the items.
Bianca was also packing her things. Suddenly, she smiled brightly at
Isabella and said, “Isabella, I packed some things for you in this box.
You can use them.”
Isabella didn’t need to look to know what was inside.
Used cosmetics, clothes that didn’t fit, and some outdated jewelry.
