Chapter 126
Andrei’s fingers found the hem of my skirt, pushing it up around my hips. I didn’t stop him. My wolf howled. I wanted him inside of me. I wanted my mate. Wanted to feel him, even if only for a moment.
Nothing else mattered. Not the consequences, not the risk of getting caught, not even the fact that he had potentially heard me talking to the twins earlier.
“Mate,” my wolf howled. “Mate!”
He fumbled with his belt, all the while never breaking our kiss. I clung to his shoulders, my fingers digging into the hard muscle there.
Then, in one swift motion, he pushed into me, filling me completely with his sizable member. I bit back a cry, not wanting to draw attention to our hiding spot. But, Goddess, it felt incredible. Like a key sliding perfectly into a lock.
“Mine,” my wolf purred. “Ours…”
Each thrust sent sparks of pleasure racing up my spine.
My hands tangled in his silky raven hair of their own accord, pulling him closer as I rocked against him. I could feel my climax approaching already, and, oh, how I needed that release. Andrei seemed to sense it too, and he pulled back just enough to dip his head toward my neck, fangs slipping out, gleaming pearly white in the moonlight…
“Let him mark us.” My wolf’s voice was everywhere now. “Complete our bond!”
“Natalia?” Damon’s voice cut through the haze. “Where are you?”
Reality came crashing back, and with it, the enormity of what I was doing. Again. After everything I’d promised Damon. After everything I’d promised myself. After all my assurances that I wouldn’t give in to temptation, here I was, acting like a fool again.
“No,” Onyx whined as I placed my hands against Andrei’s chest just as his fangs began to graze the buttery flesh of my neck. “Don’t stop. Please.”
But for once, I was stronger than my wolf. The weeks of training with Alina hadn’t been for nothing. With a sudden surge of strength, I pushed Andrei away from me.
He stumbled back, his eyes wild and confused and glowing. “Natalia—”
“I can’t,” I gasped, pulling my skirt back down with shaking hands. “I’m sorry.”
Without another word, I turned and fled, my legs shaking beneath me. In my haste to escape, I didn’t notice the tree root. My foot caught on it and I pitched forward, hands digging into the dirt. A shock of pain jolted up my arm, and I bit back a curse. But I cradled it against my chest, stumbled to my feet, and kept going despite the
agony.
“Natalia!” Damon’s voice called again.
I nearly ran straight into him as I rounded the corner of a nearby tent. His eyes widened as he took in my disheveled appearance, especially when he saw the way I was wincing and holding my wrist.

“What happened?” he asked, his gaze hardening, “Did he-”
“No,”
“I cut him off quickly. “I just… I need to leave, Now.”
“Natalia-”
“Now, Damon.” I gave him a meaningful look. For a brief moment, I let him see the glow in my eyes, the flush in my cheeks. He needed to know. He needed to know what I might do if he didn’t get me the fuck out of here right
now.
Damon stared at me for a moment in shock, but seemed to get the hint. He didn’t say another word–just took my arm and pulled me toward the pack house.
