CHAPTER 195

Clara’s POV

His fingers were already deep inside me, working my drenched p***y with a precision that had my thighs

trembling and my head falling back against the wall. I couldn’t breathe or think. Every stroke dragged me

closer to unraveling, my body betraying me with shameful ease.

That’s it,Lucien growled against my ear, his breath searing. You’re not thinking anymore. Just feeling.

Just giving in.

I could feel myself getting lost completely, drowning in sensation. His mouth returned to my skin while his

hand continued its skilled movements, and I felt like I was coming apart.

The pleasure was building to an almost unbearable intensity, and I could feel myself on the edge of something that would change everything. My rational mind was barely hanging on, overwhelmed by the physical forces pulling me toward complete surrender.

I want all of you, Clara,he said, his voice thick with desire and possession. I want to claim you completely, to show you what real power feels like when it’s shared.

I could feel him shifting, his intention clear, and some distant part of my mind realized we were about to cross a line that could never be uncrossed. Out here in the open garden, against the stone wall, with my

mate somewhere looking for me.

Clara!

The sound of Darius’s voice calling my name from somewhere in the compound cut through the haze like a cold shock. Reality came crashing back, and I suddenly remembered where I was, what I was doing, and

who I was betraying.

Lucien pulled back slightly, his eyes dark with frustration. Your ordinary mate calls,he said, his voice rough with barely controlled want.

I was breathing hard, my heart pounding, my body still singing from his touch. I could feel my lips swollen from his kisses, could smell his scent all over me. The evidence of how far I’d let things go was written all over my appearance. My breasts were still tingling where he’d touched and kissed them, and between my thighs, I could feel how soaked my p***y still was.

Clara! Where are you?Darius’s voice was closer now, worried.

Panic shot through me as I realized how disheveled I must look. My shirt was pushed up, my bra completely out of place, my hair a mess from Lucien’s hands. If Darius saw me like this, he’d know exactly what had happened.

I have to go,” I whispered urgently, frantically trying to fix my bra and pull my shirt back down. My hands were shaking so badly I could barely get the fabric to cooperate.

Lucien watched me with dark amusement as I struggled to make myself presentable. Trying to hide the

evidence?he asked, his voice low and mocking.

I smoothed down my hair, hoping it didn’t look too obviously messed up. My lips were still swollen from

his kisses, and I could only hope the dim evening light would hide that. I wiped at my mouth, trying to

remove any trace of him.

How do I look?I asked desperately, needing to know if I looked normal enough to fool Darius.

Like a woman who was just thoroughly kissed,Lucien said with satisfaction. But presentable enough, I

suppose.

I took a shaky breath, trying to calm my racing heart and compose myself. I couldn’t let Darius see me like this. Panicked, flustered, obviously hiding something. I needed to act normal, like I’d just been sitting here

reading reports.

I picked up the papers I’d abandoned earlier, clutching them like a shield. Maybe if I looked busy with work, Darius wouldn’t notice anything strange about my appearance or behavior.

Clara! There you are!Darius’s voice was much closer now, and I could hear his footsteps on the gravel

path.

I started to move toward the sound of his voice, desperate to get away from Lucien and this whole situation before I lost what little composure I’d managed to regain.

But just as I took my first step away from the wall, Lucien caught my hand, his grip firm and possessive. His touch sent another jolt through me, a reminder of everything that had just happened between us.

We’re not done yet,” he said quietly, his voice low and intense. His eyes met mine with complete certainty, and I felt that familiar pull trying to draw me back in.

The words sent a shiver down my spine. Part fear, part anticipation that I hated myself for feeling. He was right, and we both knew it. Whatever this was between us, it wasn’t going to just disappear because Darius had interrupted us.

Let me go,I whispered, but my voice came out weaker than I intended.

Soon,he promised, his thumb brushing across my knuckles. But remember what happened here tonight, Clara. Remember how your body responded to mine, how right it felt. You can’t pretend it didn’t happen. His grip tightened slightly, and his voice dropped to a whisper that sent chills through me. And Clara? Next time, there won’t be any interruptions.
