"You must be Sienna Ryder."

Emma remained completely unfazed.

"Aren't you? Your mother joined the Ryder Corporation right out of college. Three months later, she became the CEO's secretary. Six months later, she was pregnant and kept as his mistress."

When Emma had looked into Mavis's background, she had uncovered all the Ryder family's dirty laundry.

"Listen to me clearly. I am the true heiress of the Ryder family now, and I'm going to marry Travis. You better know your place and get the hell away from him."

Sienna sounded ridiculously entitled, acting as if she already owned him.

"Mavis, who grew up with Travis, didn't even dare speak to me like that. What gives a mistress's daughter the audacity?"

Sienna's arrogance faltered. Furious, she pointed a finger at Emma. "I'm warning you, I am going to be Travis's wife. Don't you dare—"

"Shh. Wait until you have the marriage certificate before making such bold claims."

Emma turned to leave with absolute composure, but Sienna lunged forward and grabbed Emma's injured shoulder.

Emma's face darkened. "Let go."
