Dominic looked utterly disgusted with the notion alone that he had to share the room with the people around him. Tao, he could manage, but what about the rest?
"It’s not as awkward as you are making it out to be," said Tracy as she made her way to the third floor. "We can share these two rooms just fine. So calm down, Romeo."
The Romeo in question looked like he was very much bothered by the very fact that he had to spend a few hours with the rest of them. Dominic spun on his heels, his knuckles crackling as he clenched them too hard. He said to Tracy, "I am not going to share the damn room with anyone."
Tracy paused, and Finn was sure that everyone’s heartbeat paused along with hers. When the witch twisted on her feet and glared at Dominic, every single man in the vicinity stepped away. She took a step toward Dominic and tipped her head to one side. "Well, boohoo, darling. It’s either you share this damned room with us, or you sleep inside the SUV. It’s up to you."
She then turned to look at the rest. "You have a problem as well?"
Finn, along with the rest, shook their heads at once.
Tracy huffed. Playing with the room key, she shifted her head from right to left. One by one, she looked at the five men before saying, "Veronica can stay with me and with us, you —"
She raised her hand to point at Dominic, but before she could pick him up, Finn intervened. "I will stay with you."
He spoke so hastily that he forgot about Ajax and Laxus; Tracy herself turned to look at him.
Ajax snorted after hearing his response, while Laxus rolled his eyes, simply stupefied by the shamelessness of the man. As for Tracy, she simply eyed him with confusion. The witch was indeed shocked by the sudden outburst of the wolf. Earlier, she had been lost in her own thoughts.
But with Finn interrupting her, he made her break through her composure. Her brows started to knit together as she stared at the wolf in front of her. He looked oddly determined, as if it were the hill where he was determined to die. He even glared at Dominic, who glowered right back at him.
"I wanted to try what we did earlier—" Tracy began. What she didn’t tell these men was that she had a feeling that one of the failed experiments of Morga might be hiding in this hotel or near it. She needed Dominic’s affinity with magic to trace him down.
