Remorse After Breaking Up (Sebastian) novel Chapter 1086

Jaric was startled and looked at Delaney. "Princess Delaney, I need to head back. You stay here and wait for Mr. Wilder. If things go south, find a way to escape."

"Be careful," she cautioned him.

He nodded, but his eyes burned with determination.

Trent had suffered a bitter defeat before and would stop at nothing to wipe the Novaks out. Today could very well be the day the Novak family faced annihilation.

With no way out, Jaric understood their only choice was to fight to the bitter end. Trent was still injured and missing an arm, and that gave Jaric a glimmer of hope. He would pour every ounce of strength he had into this battle.

When Jaric returned, the Novak family members stood behind him, and the children gathered in the back.

The Milton family waited in the distance, with Trent leading the charge. His face was twisted with venomous hatred.

He glared at Jaric and said coldly, "Jaric, your barrier is about to vanish. I'm going to kill all of you."

Jaric snorted. "We won't be taken down easily. You'll pay dearly for this!"

Trent scoffed, but then a realization struck him. "Where did Princess Delaney and that young man go?"

"They've already left," Jaric replied.

"Impossible! We've blocked the exit, so there's no way they could have slipped away," Trent asserted, though a foreboding chilled over him.

Even if the risk was high, other escape routes still existed. He could accept Delaney getting away but wouldn't let Sebastian off the hook. After Sebastian had blown off his arm, Trent was determined to exact his revenge.

"Believe what you want," Jaric said dismissively.

The barrier was flickering now, and he tightened his grip on his sword. The rest of the family also raised their weapons with determination shining in their eyes.

"Attack!"

As the barrier disappeared, Trent shouted an order and led the Milton family elites in an assault on the Novak family. Though he had lost an arm, his cultivation base was still far superior to Jaric's and the others'.

Jaric rallied 30 family members and formed a line to hold back Trent's onslaught.

These elites were the cream of the crop, and each was at least a five-star demigod. Among them, the strongest was the nine-star demigod, and they quickly surrounded Sebastian.

"Go to hell!"

One of the elites, a seven-star demigod, swung a massive blade straight down at Sebastian with all his might.

With his hands clasped behind his back, Sebastian appeared utterly unbothered by the incoming strike. Just as the blade closed within inches of his head, he raised one hand.

His movement seemed almost leisurely but was deceptively swift as he caught the blade barehanded.

The seven-star demigod gasped in shock. His weapon was a supreme artifact, yet Sebastian had caught it barehanded.

What stunned him even more was the absence of any spiritual energy radiating from Sebastian's grip. How could his defense be so incredibly formidable?

"Let go!" the seven-star demigod said.
