Remorse After Breaking Up (Sebastian) novel Chapter 823

"This is the Forbidden Demon Grounds." Lamia said disdainfully, "A mere demigod like you could only reach this place if you're not from this world. You must be from the Sealed Realm, right?"

Sebastian knew that the Sealed Realm she spoke of referred to his former world.

There was an ancient legend, after all. During the primordial era, the human-inhabited planet was vast, and the spiritual energy was abundant. Many powerful beings could soar through the skies and move mountains with ease.

However the world was mysteriously split in two by a force for some reason. One hall became known as the Sealed Realm, while the other half simply vanished,

Sebastian had always thought it was just a myth, but now it seemed more plausible. It was likely that both his current world and his former one were part of the same planet.

"I have one last question. Why did you impersonate Lillian and deceive me? What's your motive?"

Lamia sneered as she replied, "I've been sealed here for so long. I'm growing weaker by the day. If I were at full strength, killing a demigod like you is a piece of cake. I am from the Demon Tribe, and I am unable to absorb spiritual energy, so the only way for me to survive is to feed on your life essence."

Sebastian chuckled softly and asked, "Have you ever heard the saying?"

"What?" Lamia asked curiously.

"Strike when the enemy is down!" Sebastian responded, suddenly making a move. In a flash, he raised his arm and slashed toward Lamia.

"Do you have a death wish?"

Furious, Lamia smashed the sword energy with a single punch.

Before she could recover, a second sword strike was already upon her.

A loud boom sounded as Lamia destroyed the sword energy again with another punch, but Sebastian continued to attack like lightning. Each wave of the sword energy was relentless, giving her no time to catch her breath.

Having been trapped in the Forbidden Demon Grounds for so long, Lamia's energy had been severely depleted. Adding to her troubles, Sebastian's active energy countered her demonic nature. She was injured from the surprise attack and could only manage a fraction of her full strength.

Against Sebastian's ferocious assault, she was forced to retreat.

A thunderous explosion echoed as the black energy sphere was instantly obliterated. The terrifying shockwave kicked up clouds of dust, shrouding the area in a dense fold.

Yet, the sword energy continued its path, hurting toward Lamia at lightning speed. She had no time to dodge before it struck her, slicing her cleanly in half. At that moment, her blood was spilled across the ground.

"Sebastian, are you alright?" Lillian rushed forward and asked with concern.

"I'm fine. How about you? Are your injuries serious?" Sebastian asked worriedly.

"It's not that serious. We should hurry and find Cassandra and the others," Lillian said.

Sebastian nodded, following Lillian as they pressed forward.

Lillian wore a creepy smile as she walked in front of Sebastian. Unfortunately, Sebastian didn't notice.

Even so, he remained cautious. Gripping his sword tightly, he scanned their surroundings with caution.
