Hibiscus rolled her eyes. "If I were here to hold you accountable, I'd have taken you back already. No need to be scared. I'm just here to take Lana back."
Sebastian remained unfazed. To him, an eight-star demigod like her was just a slightly more powerful ant, not someone to fear.
Hibiscus looked at Lana. "Are you planning to leave Lacuna Sect, Lana?"
"I wouldn't dare, Ms. Hibiscus. It's just... my husband injured Theodore, and I'm worried..." Lana trailed off, but Hibiscus understood her concern.
"I know what you're worried about. You're afraid that Jon might take his anger out on you. Don't worry about that. As long as I'm here, no one will dare to bully you."
"Ms. Hibiscus," Lana cried as she threw herself into Hibiscus' arms, overwhelmed with emotion.
"There, there. You're not a little girl anymore. There's no need to cry," Hibiscus said affectionately. "Come back with me."
"I haven't seen my husband in three years, Ms. Hibiscus. I want to spend more time with him," Lana pleaded.
Hibiscus responded, "In two months, the four major sects' competition will take place. You need to train hard during this period and aim to shine during the competition.
"Bring glory to our sect and your mentor. After it's over, I'll give you a month's leave. You can go wherever you want then."
"Alright," Lana agreed, albeit reluctantly. She turned to Sebastian, full of longing. "Honey, I have to go back now. After the competition, I'll come find you in Skyde."
Sebastian nodded. Though he felt the pain of separation, he didn't want to hinder her training. Fortunately, two months would pass in the blink of an eye.
"Goodbye, honey!"
"Goodbye, Sebastian!" The siblings stood atop the mystic crane, waving as they bid farewell.
"What's so funny?" Jon asked coldly.
Sebastian was still smiling as he responded, "I knew you followed Hibiscus, and I knew you hid behind that tree.
"Do you know why I didn't call for her help?"
"Why?" Jon asked. He was genuinely curious, as he couldn't fathom the reason.
"Because I don't need anyone's help. To me, you're nothing more than a jumping clown, easily crushed with a flick of my finger." Sebastian sneered.
"How dare you mock me?" Jon roared in fury, his body radiating a terrifying killing intent.
