Remorse After Breaking Up (Sebastian) novel Chapter 962

"What happened here? What exactly is going on?" Cadmus asked in disbelief, and his eyes were wide with shock. His hands trembled slightly as he turned to Sebastian for answers.

Drew quickly stepped forward, lowering his head respectfully as he replied, "Mr. Hughes, Alfie got injured inside Chimes Tower."

"What? How is that possible?" Cadmus' face twisted with astonishment.

However, his concern for Alfie overrode his confusion. Without delay, he rushed forward and supported his grandson's body. They then hurried back to the sect to seek treatment from an alchemist.

In this world, there were no conventional doctors, but alchemists far surpassed them in healing abilities.

To Cadmus' dismay, the wounds on Alfie's body were not too serious. The real catastrophe, however, was the fact that his manhood had been severed. It was a devastating blow for any man.

Cadmus' face turned ashen, and his lips quivered as he stood frozen, unsure how to handle such a calamity.

Meanwhile, Franz and the elders decided to investigate Chimes Tower themselves.

But upon entering, they found themselves wandering in circles on the first level, unable to locate the entrance to the second floor. To make matters worse, they couldn't even find their way out.

Panic set in. After half an hour of frantic searching, they finally stumbled upon the exit, drenched in cold sweat and visibly shaken. Every elder bore the expression of someone who had narrowly escaped disaster.

All of this was, of course, orchestrated by Sebastian. He didn't want them exploring deeper inside. If he had outright sealed the entrance, they might have resorted to attacking the tower.

Although Chimes Tower was a high-grade spiritual artifact and beyond their ability to destroy, the fact that it had already recognized Sebastian as its master meant any assault on it would affect his mind and spirit.
