Restoring a Life After Seven Years of Wrong Love novel Chapter 264

Charlotte calms down and grabs his wrist. "Willow finally got some dirt on me. There's no way she'll hand over a pardon letter that easily."

"I have to try," Matthew says, striding away.

Charlotte watches him leave, tugging at her hair in pure aggravation.

Matthew dials Willow's number. "Do you have time? We need to talk."

Surprise flashes in Willow's eyes. She didn't expect Matthew to call her.

"Sure," she agrees.

Matthew arrives at the agreed-upon café and orders two coffees.

Willow shows up head-to-toe in Chanel, wearing an outfit easily worth hundreds of thousands.

"Coffee," Matthew gestures.

Willow glances at it and raises an eyebrow in surprise.

It's her favorite roast. Clearly, he's been paying some attention to her.

She smiles softly, picks up the cup, and takes a sip.

"What can I do for you, Mr. Sutton?"

"I'll get straight to the point. What will it take for you to sign the pardon letter for Charlotte?" Matthew's eyes are dark and serious.

"Aren't you a bit too generous with your time, Mr. Sutton? First you play knight in shining armor for Yvette, and now you're meddling in Charlotte's mess."

"The nature of my relationships is none of your concern. We're both adults; let's not waste each other's time. Name your terms."

Seeing the flash of impatience in his eyes, Willow points to her still faintly bruised cheek. "Do you see this, Mr. Sutton? I still have bruises all over my body. Charlotte gave me these."

"I apologize on her behalf," Matthew says, keeping his composure.

"You aren't the one who needs to apologize." Willow waves him off. "If you want that pardon letter, tell Yvette to come talk to me."

She originally wanted to build a good relationship with the Sutton family, but seeing how fiercely Matthew protects Yvette, she knows that bridge is burned.

Matthew's expression darkens. He considers this for a moment. "How about this? I'll cover all your medical bills and lost wages. Haven't you always wanted to study restoration techniques with me? I'll personally mentor you for a month."
