"Elementary school?" Wu Tian’s brow furrowed. If he were the little one, he wouldn’t want to go either.
Anyone finds school interesting and novel the first time they go. But after truly experiencing it, whether you’re a slacker or a top student, you want to leave. Of course, there are exceptions, like having a goddess (or a god) at school.
"I’m at my wit’s end with her. It’s all up to you now," Qin Yuhan sighed.
Murong Yezi also nodded. Wu Tian was the only man in the house; when difficulties arose, it was up to him to step up.
Wu Tian chuckled. He knew it was his time to step in. He walked toward the little one, and the two forces of wind and cloud swept toward him.
This small amount of wind and cloud force was nothing to Wu Tian. The little one was exceptionally talented, but compared to the Empress, her cultivation was leagues behind. The gap was so immense that to describe it as a ’vast distance’ would be flattery. If it were the Empress’s own forces of wind and cloud, the current Wu Tian wouldn’t dare approach so casually. But in his eyes, the little one’s power might as well not exist.
Wu Tian approached the little one. She was still cultivating with her eyes closed, looking as tranquil and lovely as a pristine, exquisitely carved porcelain doll.
She’s cute and beautiful. When she grows up, her looks won’t be inferior to the Empress’s.
Feeling the little one’s current progress on the Martial Path, Wu Tian nodded in approval.
"Speak to her," Qin Yuhan urged, noticing Wu Tian was spacing out. "Don’t just stand there staring. You have to be strict with a child when necessary."
Easier said than done. Although Qin Yuhan talks like that, I’ve never seen her be truly strict. Every time she gets angry and puts on a cold face, it isn’t long before the little one charms her out of it.
Murong Yezi nodded, taking Qin Yuhan’s side. "Yuhan is right, son. You need to be strict when it’s called for. I’ve seen plenty of children. Take you, for example. At my granddaughter’s age, you seemed like a blockhead by comparison."
This mother of mine... now that she has a granddaughter, she doesn’t even want her son anymore.
Wu Tian felt helpless. Murong Yezi and Qin Yuhan both hoped the little one would go to school and excel in every aspect, preferably becoming talented in both literary and martial arts. They knew of many child prodigies—famous scientists, physicists, biologists, and the like. Yet, compared to the little one, even their childhoods paled in comparison. The girl had already surpassed the category of a mere prodigy; she was a monster.
"I know what to do," Wu Tian said with confidence. "As parents, sometimes we have to be a bit strict for our child’s own good. But harsh methods are a last resort, to be used only when reasoning has failed. I don’t think we’ve reached that point yet."
He detested the idea of hitting children as a form of education. If words could work, it was worth spending a little more patience to use them. To resort to hitting a child to teach a lesson, without first exhausting every attempt to reason with them, would inevitably leave a scar on the child’s heart. Children have strong memories. They might remember such an event when they grow up, planting a subtle flaw in their character. Compared to a child’s entire future, spending a bit more time on patient reasoning was nothing at all.
Just then, a sudden change occurred!
The forces of wind and cloud within the little one, which had been harmoniously cooperative, suddenly turned adversarial. The two streams of energy began to collide violently, causing the little one’s body to tremble.
