Chapter 100 Family Justice
This was exactly why, even now, with all the power in the Moore family firmly in Xavier’s grasp, Stanley still commanded respect
and fear from everyone
The main family line was solely Stanley’s, but his siblings and the extended branches had once been deeply intertwined
Having been at his father’s side since he was young, Xavier had watched Stanley handle family matters firsthand. If anyone from the Moores ever betrayed the family, they never needed outside help to deal with it.
According to their code, Stanley would personally send his own people to apprehend the individual for questioning and punishment. And whoever was taken would vanish as if they’d dropped off the face of the earth–alive or dead, they were never seen again.
Even Xavier might not be able to locate someone hidden away by the Moore family’s network.
That Teresa had brought her own people this time likely meant Stanley had given the order. After their last confrontation had angered Stanley, it seemed he was now determined to cut ties with Xavier completely.
sabella didn’t fully understand why Xavier was so tense, nor did she grasp the “Moore family code” Teresa had mentioned. But udging by the atmosphere, it probably wasn’t anything good.
Just as Teresa and Xavier stood locked in a tense standoff, a team of security detail arrived outside the hospital room. Jacob had only just snapped into action and called for backup when he was the first to be seized.
(avier’s expression was grim. Isabella moved to step forward, but he extended an arm, firmly holding her back behind him.
Linda, standing off to the side, felt a faint flicker of satisfaction in her eyes. The Moore family was finally taking this seriously. Betting on Noah had been the right move after all.
‘Anyone who wants to get to her today will have to go through me,” Xavier said, his voice low and dangerous, directed at Teresa but chilling everyone behind her. They hesitated, none daring to advance.
sabella noticed the hallway was now empty and eerily quiet–no doctors or nurses passing through anymore. Clearly, Teresa had nade preparations. She’d waited to confirm Noah was out of danger before making her move.
With no one left around Xavier, it would be easy for Teresa to take Isabella by force. No wonder she hadn’t wanted to involve the police–she’d planned to handle this privately all along,
Cavier’s gaze was icy and unyielding, his eyes sharp with a protective intensity as he stared Teresa down.
‘Risking everything for a woman, Xavier? Have you lost your mind?” Teresa finally snapped.
‘She is my wife,” Xavier stated, his tone absolute.
The firmness in those two words–my wife–left a deep imprint on Isabella’s heart.
After a moment’s hesitation, she gently laced her fingers through his and lowered the arm he’d used to shield her
Xavier didn’t look at her, but his tall frame trembled almost imperceptibly.
Standing shoulder–to–shoulder with him, Isabella addressed Teresa calmly. “There’s no need for this. Teresa Thave a way to identify who’s responsible and quickly Because the person who did it is right here among us

If the culprit is here, no one leaves,” Isabella cut in coolly “Trying to send someone away now, Ms Allen could it be you’re
covering for them
Before Linda could respond. Teresa’s people closed in, surrounding both the caregiver and Linda to prevent any attempt to flee
Linda looked at Isabella with wounded eyes. “Isabella, if you have a problem with me, fine. But she’s just a caregiver She’s burning up with fever–she’s drenched in sweat.”
“If she’s unwell, she can be treated here in the hospital,” Xavier said flatly. Linda fell silent, shooting Isabella a resentful glance
Teres: watched Isabella with renewed interest and didn’t intervene as her people detained the caregiver.
‘Jacob, Isabella continued, her voice steady, “could you please bring Dr. Ashford and Ms. Hale here?”
Jacobi nodded, broke free from the man holding him, and went to find them.
Linda kept her head down, her eyes shifting nervously toward Isabella. The woman looked completely sure of herself, as if she really could uncover the truth.
But… how was that possible? The caregiver hadn’t even been in the room at the time. Linda had made sure of it–no one inside or outside, only herself.
She remembered it clearly: Noah lying peacefully in bed, breathing steadily under sedation. She had taken out the small blade she carried, carefully made a shallow cut on his wrist, and quickly covered it with the blanket.
She hadn’t cut deep–there was no blood on her, and with Noah sedated, he wouldn’t wake anytime soon.
Afterward, she d slipped into the bathroom, flushed the blade, and washed her hands over and over until her heartbeat settled Only then had she called the caregiver back, claiming an upset stomach and asking her to watch Noah again.
The caregiver who’d just left, had to turn around and return…
And when Linda finally hurried back to the room, she’d found only the terrified young woman She’d calmed her dowis immediately insisting she must never mention leaving her post otherwise, she’d be blamed for negligence
Whether Noah Bed or died, the responsibility would fall on her
