**The Goodbye That Never Reached You and My Life Chasing 74**
**Revenge Amnesia Upgraded to His Brother**
**Chapter 74**
**Lucien’s POV**
“Norah!”
Frustration surged within me.
What had that insane Mateo done to her?
With urgency, I scooped her up and placed her gently in the passenger seat, my heart racing with fear.
I cranked the car’s heater to maximum, but despite the warmth flooding the interior, Norah continued to shiver, her lips a ghostly shade of pale.
As I sped through the city, I blew past every red light, my mind consumed by a singular thought: she couldn’t be hurt. She simply couldn’t be.
Once we arrived back at the apartment, I carried her straight to the bathroom, my instincts kicking into overdrive. I turned on the shower, letting the warm water cascade down over us like a comforting embrace.
Yet, her body remained rigid in my arms, the tremors of her fear palpable against my chest.
“Norah, please, look at me.”
I cupped her face, forcing her to meet my gaze, desperate to see her eyes.
“Lucien…” Her voice came out in a rough whisper, strained as though she were holding back a flood of tears. “I’m okay.”
“Okay?” My voice raised in disbelief, frustration bubbling over. “You call this okay? Tell me, what did that bastard do to you?!”
She shook her head, her eyes darting away. “No, he didn’t… I just… I saw the video.”
The video?
Suddenly, my mind flashed back to that moment with Damian and those men…
“And…” Her body trembled even more violently. “Mateo’s man rushed me, tore my clothes,” her voice dropped to a near whisper. “His smell, his strength… I couldn’t break free…”
Her breathing became erratic, panic creeping back into her expression. “It felt like I was back… back in that villa…”
The villa.
A wave of understanding crashed over me. Norah was reliving the horror of Damian’s attack.
Rage coursed through my veins like fire. I yearned to hunt down Mateo, his men, and Damian, to obliterate them into nothingness.
“Did he touch you?” I forced myself to keep my voice steady, though my insides churned.
“No. Mateo arrived just in time. He… handled it…” She shook her head, but the tremors didn’t cease.
“I thought I could handle it. I thought I was strong now. I believed that wanting revenge would be enough.”
“But when that man came at me, I realized… I’m still scared. I was terrified. Being pinned down, helpless… it was too much like that night…”
Her eyes glistened with unshed tears as she looked up at me, vulnerability laid bare. “I had to force myself to stay calm, to play along with his game, to make that stupid bet. I couldn’t show weakness. If I lost, we were both dead.”
“It wasn’t until I saw you. Seeing you standing there, aiming your gun at him… that’s when I finally felt safe.”
“You were incredibly brave, Norah. Braver than anyone I know.” I pressed a gentle kiss to her head, holding her as tightly as I could, wishing I could shield her from all the pain.
“Look at me, Norah. Who am I?” I wiped away the tears that spilled down her cheeks.
“Lucien…” she sobbed, the sound breaking my heart further.
“Yes. It’s me.” I held her face in my hands, searching her eyes for any sign of the strength I knew was there. “Listen to me. You are not in that villa anymore. Damian will never touch you again.”
“You’re not in Mateo’s castle. That trash is gone. You are in my arms. In our home. It’s safe here. No one will ever force you to do anything again. No one will hurt you. I’m here. I’m right here with you.”
Slowly, I felt her body begin to relax against me, as if my words were a balm soothing her frayed nerves.
Without hesitation, I positioned myself at her entrance and pushed deep inside her, feeling the warmth envelop me, holding me close in a way that felt almost sacred.
It was blissfully tight, and I struggled to maintain control as waves of pleasure threatened to overwhelm me.
I stayed deep within her, feeling her pulse thrum around me, a rhythm that matched the frantic beating of my heart.
Norah looked up at me, her eyes dark with desire, igniting a fire within me. “More, Lucien…” she whispered, and that was all it took to shatter my last vestiges of restraint.
I let go, moving with her, each thrust deeper, harder, as if I were trying to reclaim every moment of fear she had ever faced.
The sound of the water cascading around us, our bodies moving in perfect harmony, her soft cries mingling with my ragged breaths created a symphony of passion in the steamy room.
I turned her around, lifting her up and entering her from behind, her trust in me palpable.
I pressed a possessive kiss to the small of her back, claiming her as mine. “So stunning, and all mine.”
I made her look into the mirror at our reflections, the intimacy of the moment wrapping around us like a warm blanket.
“Yes… only yours,” she replied in broken breaths, her sweet voice lost amidst the rhythm of our bodies.
“Say my name,” I commanded, needing to hear it from her lips.
“Lucien…” she cried out, almost sobbing, the sound echoing in the air, a melody of surrender.
With me still deep inside her, I turned her back to face me, her gasp a testament to the connection we shared.
“It’s over, Norah. That trash can never touch you again. Your fears—I will destroy them. Your nightmares—I will end them. From now on, your eyes, your heart, your body… they will only know me. Understand?”
She could only manage breathless gasps, barely able to form coherent sentences, responding with broken “Yes…” and “I understand…” as I moved within her, our bodies entwined in a dance of healing and passion.
