Revenge is My Love Language novel Chapter 724

Seeing this, Queena knew she had taken the right approach.

But while she was relieved, she also felt a twinge of resentment.

The reason she hadn't mentioned Anastasia at first was that she didn't want to use that connection. Did she, Queena, really need to rely on Anastasia?

But in the end, she still had to use Anastasia's name just to get a second glance from Harrison!

Suppressing her frustration, she said, "I have long admired you, Mr. Harrison Lancaster, and have always wanted to meet you, but I never had the chance. I had someone send a message to you earlier, but I didn't get a response. Anastasia must have intercepted it, so you probably didn't know, did you?"

She sighed, feigning helplessness. "Anastasia can be a bit willful and likes to take matters into her own hands. I hope Mr. Harrison Lancaster won't hold it against her..."

"Enough!" Harrison's sharp command cut her off. The man's eyes were cold and utterly unforgiving. "Ms. Sterling, who gave you the audacity to come before me and speak ill of my wife?"

Queena's heart trembled at his sharp tone. Staring into his emotionless eyes, her heart seemed to seize up. She quickly forced a smile.

"Mr. Harrison Lancaster, you've misunderstood. I'm Anastasia's sister; why would I deliberately speak ill of her? It's just that she can be a bit thoughtless, and I only wanted to ask for your understanding..."

"Ana's mother only had one child. She has never had a sister," Harrison said bluntly. "Ms. Sterling, you can spare me these tactics. I have no interest in playing along with you."

Queena's face turned shades of red and white.

Nearby, Marcus and Barnett watched with neutral expressions, not interjecting.

Indeed, this Ms. Sterling's methods were rather crude. Who gave her the courage to perform in front of Harrison, especially when her target was the treasure he held so dear?

Any normal person would have understood the situation. Why was this Ms. Sterling so tactless?

Queena heard the implication in his words. She glanced around and saw that many people nearby were watching her, whispering amongst themselves. The feeling of anger and humiliation intensified.

She managed to force a smile. "I truly had something important to discuss with Mr. Harrison Lancaster, so I was a bit hasty. If you're busy now, Mr. Harrison Lancaster, then I won't disturb you any longer."

With that, maintaining a graceful smile, she turned and hurried away.

The moment she was out of sight, her face turned dark and sullen.

George approached her. "What happened? I heard you angered Mr. Harrison Lancaster? He's not someone you can afford to offend. Why were you so careless..."
