Anastasia asked, "Queena didn't say anything to help her?"
"Not a word. Though, when I was coming in, I did see her cornering Queena. She looked really agitated. I wonder what they were talking about. When did they even get involved with each other?"
Anastasia's lips curved into a faint smile.
Just as she'd suspected. The decision to expel Pamela was made jointly by the dean and vice dean. Even if Queena could reverse it, it would require significant effort. Why would she go to such lengths for Pamela?
In the end, Pamela was just a pawn who had been used and discarded!
From what she'd observed of Pamela's character, she likely only agreed to Queena's scheme because she was being blackmailed. Now that Queena had reneged on her promise, Pamela was probably feeling nothing but anger and despair, powerless to do anything but accept her fate.
As Anastasia was leaving that afternoon, she saw Pamela walking out of the Global Harmony Medical Institute, clutching her expulsion papers, looking completely devastated.
She didn't interfere, merely glanced at her before leaving.
Even if she were to show mercy, now wasn't the time.
When the day came to expose Queena, Pamela would get her chance for redemption. It would be up to her to seize it.
The driver pulled the car up, and Anastasia got in, saying smoothly, "To the office."
She was early today, not yet the end of the workday, but as she entered the lobby, she saw Harrison striding out of the elevator. His expression was cool and displeased, and he looked like he was about to leave.
She walked over, confused. "Where are you going?"
Seeing her, Harrison's expression softened slightly. He took her hand. "To the hospital."
Anastasia was surprised. "The hospital? Why?"
From behind them, Logan glanced at Harrison and then answered her question. "We just received word that Mr. Lancaster has been hospitalized. The old master called and asked Mr. Harrison Lancaster to go and check on him."
The "Mr. Lancaster" he referred to was, of course, Ryan.
The old master had talked about disowning him, but Ryan was still his son. Hearing he was in the hospital, he couldn't help but be concerned. Since his own health prevented him from going out, he had to send Harrison instead.
