Revenge is My Love Language novel Chapter 881

Of course, Morgan knew Harrison was married. It was precisely because he knew that he was so desperate.

“Harrison, what do you say? Just do me this favor, for old times' sake.”

Morgan smiled gently. Phrased like that, Harrison had little room to refuse unless he wanted to make an enemy of the Lawson family.

Harrison lifted his gaze coolly and was about to speak when his phone rang.

The moment he saw the caller ID, the man's features softened.

“Excuse me, I need to take this.”

The call was from Anastasia.

“Why aren’t you back yet? Are you working late today?”

“No, not working late. Something just came up unexpectedly. I’ll be home soon.” Harrison glanced at his watch. “Is everything okay at home?”

“Everything’s fine. I just miss you.”

An indulgent and tender expression unknowingly appeared on the man's stern face. He told her again, “I’ll be home soon.”

As he took the call, his expression was filled with a gentleness he never showed anyone else, as if he had transformed into a different person. Naomi stared, completely stunned.

When Harrison hung up, she asked, a knot tightening in her chest, “Harrison, who was that on the phone?”

Harrison glanced at her and said, “My wife.”

The moment he said it, the atmosphere suddenly turned icy.

It was rare for Harrison to be so patient, to explain in such detail and say so much. Anyone with ears could hear the importance he placed on Anastasia, and how different she was to him.

Naomi’s heart ached with jealousy and resentment.

Harrison then continued, “As for what Mr. Lawson just proposed, I’m afraid I can’t agree. Ana wouldn't be happy.”

His tone was cool and left no room for discussion.

Morgan felt he had lost face and was quite displeased, but he knew Harrison’s temperament. A refusal from him was final, so he had no choice but to drop the matter for now.

“If there’s nothing else, I’ll be heading back. Someone’s waiting for me at home.”

Ignoring Morgan's attempts to make him stay, Harrison said his goodbyes and left the Lawson residence without a second glance.
