"Didn't I say I'd focus on you once this busy period was over?"
Anastasia's eyes lit up. "Is it over already?"
"Yes, it won't be as hectic from now on. I'll have plenty of time to spend with you. Where would you like to go tomorrow?"
"I haven't been to so many of the famous spots in Riverton!" Anastasia said at once.
Harrison curved his lips into an indulgent smile. "Alright, I'll take you tomorrow. Where do you want to go first?"
Anastasia immediately began to plan with great enthusiasm.
There were many well-known places in Riverton that might seem ordinary or uninteresting to others. But in her past life, she was first kept by Harrison's side and then imprisoned in a villa by Aaron Lancaster and Penelope Sterling, with no chance to go out. So, places that others might have grown tired of, she had never visited and had always looked forward to seeing.
Seeing her so excited, Harrison couldn't help but ask, "Why didn't you ask Marcus to take you before?"
He had been busy, but she had plenty of free time.
Anastasia replied without thinking, "I wanted to go, but I wanted to go with you. What's the fun in going with someone else?"
Harrison froze for a moment, then kissed the top of her head with a pang of heartache, saying guiltily, "That was my fault."
"No, it wasn't. How could my hubby ever be at fault?" Anastasia immediately countered, putting down her phone and wrapping her arms around his neck. "We can go out anytime. Your work is more important. After all, you have a family to support!"
Harrison's lips curled into a gentle smile. He pressed his forehead against hers. "Mm, that's right. Supporting my family."
Anastasia's travel plans began the next day, but while the plan was perfect, she couldn't get out of bed in the morning.
When Harrison tried to wake her, she was so sleepy she could barely open her eyes, whimpering and snuggling against him. "Hubby, just let me sleep a little longer..."
A hand gently pinched her nose, and a soft, amused voice sounded beside her. "Don't you want to go out and play?"
Lady Lancaster said with a smile, "Don't worry, he'll be back soon. Once this is taken care of, there won't be anything else to keep him busy. It won't delay your trip."
Anastasia blushed, and just then, her phone rang. It was Harrison, who seemed to know she was awake.
"Have you had breakfast?" the man's gentle, concerned voice asked over the phone.
Anastasia replied in a soft, sweet voice, "Not yet, but I'm about to."
"Good. I had them save some for you, including your favorite cod chowder."
A smile spread across Anastasia's lips as she walked briskly toward the dining room. "Hubby, how much longer will you be?"
"It might still be a while," Harrison said, sounding a little apologetic. "If you're bored at home, you can go out and see your friends. I probably won't be back until the afternoon."
