Rewrite Her Thrilling Life (Lillian and Sebastian) novel Chapter 100

That evening, Lilian made her way back to Solara. Sebastian, who had lingered in Sandy River far longer than intended, found himself swamped with unresolved issues and was compelled to catch a flight overseas to sort them out.

Once home, Lilian handed over the transfer agreements for Wings Corp and the hospital to Karina for immediate processing. Karina scanned the documents, her brow furrowing with curiosity. “Lilian, did something happen during your trip to Hong Kong?” she asked, sensing something was off.

Lilian lounged back on the sofa, her head resting on one hand, a faint chill flickering in her eyes. Taking a slow sip of water, she replied, “Yes. But it’s all settled now. Make sure these two companies are processed quickly. And don’t merge them into Skyreach Group just yet.”

Karina caught the subtle tension in Lilian’s tone and knew something serious had occurred, but she chose not to pry. “Understood. I’ll assign someone to handle it immediately. By the way, the new medicine has launched and sales are soaring. Several companies have already approached us to negotiate distribution rights.”

“But I haven’t authorized any deals,” Lilian interrupted softly. “I think we should keep control of our own distribution channels. That’s the only way to guarantee the product’s authenticity.”

Karina nodded in agreement. “Got it. I’ll take care of it.” Lilian trusted Karina’s judgment implicitly—after all, she held a doctorate in management from Princeton.

“Also,” Karina added, “Million Corp has made several attempts to acquire Skyreach Group. I turned them down. After digging a bit, I discovered the group actually belongs to Killian. Thought you should be aware.”

Karina knew there was history between Lilian and Killian. Though the issue had been laid to rest, it was wise to stay alert in case he tried anything sneaky.

“Killian?” Lilian’s eyebrows lifted. Had Karina not mentioned him, she might have completely forgotten. A cold, almost amused smirk curved her lips. “If he thinks he can come back and throw himself at me, he better be prepared to be crushed.”

With business matters settled, Lilian slipped back into her usual routine of school and work.

Later, she learned that during the explosion, despite managing to enter the space, the bullet’s impact had injured her internally. Though the damage healed over time, she remained unconscious for a period afterward.

Blue, concerned about the risks of lingering too long in the space, had transported her out. Somehow, Lilian had ended up right beside Sebastian—a coincidence even Blue couldn’t explain.

Back at school, Natalie and Jill bombarded her with questions. She had disappeared for over two weeks, unreachable by phone, and their worry was evident.

Finally, Lilian laughed, a hint of resignation in her voice. “Alright, I promise—next time I vanish, I’ll give you a heads-up.”

The girls exchanged smiles, their concern easing. “Fine. We’ll let it slide since you admitted your mistake.”
