Lilian looked genuinely touched. “Yeah, I didn’t realize they were doing all that. It caught me off guard. Honestly, I feel like a bit of a jerk. It’s been way too long since I’ve checked in on them.”

Chloe glared at Lilian. “Lilian, tell them to let us go right now or I’m calling the cops for kidnapping.”

She’d tried to sneak out with the press, but she got caught and brought up here. She was definitely starting to sweat.
