Rewrite Her Thrilling Life (Lillian and Sebastian) novel Chapter 1111

Renee walked over to Derrick, her eyes filled with a mixture of profound grief and absolute finality. "Derrick, I am sorry. And if there is a next life, I hope I never meet you. I hope I never love you. Loving you in this life was too painful. It broke too many people. So, goodbye."

She turned and walked away without looking back. Though she was a mess, her back remained straight and proud. Everything that had happened was the result of her own actions and her own choices, but there was something haunting about a woman who could go to such lengths for a love that was never returned. She had wasted her entire life on a man who did not love her, and in the end, it was all for nothing.

The banquet came to a horrific close. No one dared to ask questions as the guests silently filtered out of the hall.

Uriel remained in a daze, staring at her son on the floor while Ruby tried to comfort her. Derrick stood nearby, his brow furrowed with a heavy sense of guilt and worry. He had never imagined the mistakes of the past would haunt them like this. He knew Renee hated him, but he never expected that hatred to be so deep that she would sacrifice her own life and her daughter’s future just to see him suffer.

The hall fell into a heavy silence, every eye fixed on Lilian.

Lilian had exhausted nearly all her energy to temporarily suppress the toxin in Sebastian’s system. She carefully withdrew the silver needles one by one.

Uriel rushed forward. "Lilian! How is he? How is Sebastian?"

Lilian forced a weak smile despite her own exhaustion. "Do not worry. I have managed to suppress the toxin for now. He will be okay. I will not let anything happen to him."

Uriel had lost every ounce of her usual grace. Looking at Triny only reminded her of the betrayal and the poison.

Triny began to sob. "I am so sorry. I did not mean for this to happen. I truly thought it was a drug that would make him love me. I never thought Renee would lie to me! If I had known it was a lethal neurotoxin, I never would have touched him. You have to believe me! I love him. I would never want him to die!"

Slap!

Uriel struck Triny across the face with every bit of strength she had left. She had never hated anyone this much in her entire life. "Do not you dare say you love my son! Do not say another word! My son is in this state because of you and your aunt. Get out of here while I can still control myself, or I swear I will tear you apart!"
