"Is it done?" Callen asked without turning around.

"Everything has been handled according to your instructions, Grandpa," Richard replied.

"It is critical," Richard said, his tone growing somber. "Sebastian was hit with a neurotoxin and remains unconscious. The news broke in Dracovia today, and panic is starting to spread through Empire Group."

A predatory gleam flickered in Callen’s eyes. He let out a cold, dry laugh. "I did not think Renee had it in her. I wonder if her poison is actually strong enough to take that Whitmore boy’s life. If he dies, she will have finally made a real contribution to this family."

Richard stared at his grandfather in shock. He hesitated, his mind racing through a terrifying possibility. "Grandpa, are you suggesting..."

"Why not?" Callen sneered. "The Stint family’s growth in Radovia has hit a ceiling. If we want to expand, we have to look abroad. Dracovia is the perfect frontier, and Empire Group would be a magnificent prize."
