Rewrite Her Thrilling Life (Lillian and Sebastian) novel Chapter 1130

Sebastian's lips parted slightly. "There is no need for now. Since Lilian let her go, we can let her run free for a couple more days. However, as for Renee, I do not want things to be too easy for her."

Foster hurried to reply, "Understood. I will see to it."

The moment the words left his mouth, a knock sounded on the study door. Unno pushed the door open and stepped inside, speaking respectfully, "We have already completed the check. All the surveillance footage from the hospital has been completely destroyed. Even the cameras in the surrounding vicinity were hit by a virus and completely wiped. As for what went on inside the operating room, everyone claims to be in the dark, and the staff who assisted with the surgery supposedly resigned just moments before we arrived."

A chilling, ruthless smile touched Sebastian's lips. "Is that so? They certainly moved fast. It only makes me more curious to find out exactly who has the audacity to take away my woman."

Unno asked in a low voice, "What should our next move be? If we cannot pull any useful information from the hospital, searching for her will be like looking for a needle in a haystack."

"Recall everyone and have them join the search," Sebastian commanded coldly. "I refuse to believe that in a place as vast as the capital, there is anyone I cannot find. At the same time, track down the medical staff who participated in that surgery. I want to know exactly who performed the operation."

The mere thought of someone assisting Lilian with that procedure made him grind his teeth in pure hatred.

Unno replied quickly, "Understood. I will get right on it." With that, he turned and walked out, with Foster following closely behind him.

For some inexplicable reason, ever since he woke up this time, he felt as though an immense reserve of energy was coursing through his system. His senses were incredibly sharp, and his physical condition felt even better than it had before the accident. It was undoubtedly because the young girl's blood was now flowing through his veins, and the realization sent a sharp, stabbing pain through his chest.

Uriel looked at the picture of the girl on the screen and said, "Even so, you must have a few bites. If not for yourself, then think of Lilian. She went through so much to bring you back. Are you really going to mistreat your body like this? If she found out, imagine how heartbroken she would be."

A flash of intense pain crossed Sebastian's eyes, and he said agonizingly, "Is that so? If I mistreat myself, will she actually be heartbroken? If she truly cared about that, she would have realized that knowing the truth upon waking up would make me wish I were dead instead. Did she ever consider my feelings at all? We promised each other a lifetime, yet she could be cruel enough to do something like this. If anything truly happens to her, what is the point of me living in this world all by myself?"

Uriel let out a heavy sigh. "She loves you so deeply, how could she bear to just stand by and watch something happen to you right in front of her eyes? From the moment your accident happened, she tried absolutely everything. In the end, she must have been entirely backed into a corner before making this choice. By then, there were only twenty odd hours left before the forty-eight-hour mark. I believe that if she had any other alternative, she would never have taken that path. She knew losing her would devastate you, so she was truly left with no other choice."
