Chapter 138: Wyvern Hill

Ravenwood Manor

Sebastian shrugged off his coat with a sharp motion, his voice cool and detached as he asked, “Did you find it?”

Trailing close behind, Foster quickly handed him a tablet. “Yes, sir. Using the photo Ms. Lilian posted on Twitter, we traced her location to Wyvern Hill, in the neighboring county.”

Sebastian raised a skeptical eyebrow. “On a mountain?”

“Exactly, sir,” Foster confirmed. “That explains why we haven’t been able to pinpoint her exact whereabouts until now.”

Since Sebastian had ordered them to track Lilian’s movements, every possible tool and method had been deployed, yet nothing concrete had emerged. No one had expected that she might be living in such a remote, mountainous area.

With a weary sigh, Sebastian sank into the sofa, narrowing his eyes as he scrolled through Lilian’s Twitter feed. The flood of comments from admirers and strangers alike filled the screen, their words dripping with longing. A cold, calculating gleam flickered in his dark eyes.

Foster approached cautiously. “Don’t pay attention to the comments, sir. Ms. Lilian hasn’t responded to a single one.”

Sebastian’s gaze hardened, turning almost obsidian in its intensity. “Make the arrangements. We leave for Wyvern Hill first thing tomorrow.”

Meanwhile, completely unaware that her location had already been discovered, Lilian was peacefully tending to her secluded sanctuary.

The Next Morning

At the first light of dawn, Lilian set out into the mountains with Sunny by her side, intent on gathering herbs.

Though early spring had only just begun, many rare medicinal plants were at their peak during this season—an opportunity too valuable to miss.

Having spent her childhood wandering these mountains, Lilian knew Wyvern Hill intimately, every path and hidden nook.

Choosing a gentler trail, she had already gathered a modest collection of herbs along the way. Though mostly common varieties, their wild origin made them potent and of excellent medicinal quality.

Sunny darted ahead like a streak of lightning, weaving deftly between the trees. Lilian smiled softly at her little companion’s playful energy before bending her gaze back to the forest floor. At her feet, she spotted a young mountain ginseng plant. It wasn’t as prized as true ginseng, but still a valuable find. Carefully, she dug it out and slipped it into her space.

Pressing further into the woods, she soon discovered a hidden patch of golden threadgrass nestled among the underbrush. A satisfied smile curved her lips—this trip was already proving fruitful.

Suddenly, Sunny came bounding back, tugging at her pant leg and gesturing urgently, trying to lead her deeper into the forest.
