Rewrite Her Thrilling Life (Lillian and Sebastian) novel Chapter 167

Chapter 167: Danger

Back inside the dim confines of her tent, a fierce heat surged suddenly from deep within Lillian’s chest, rushing up her throat and spilling past her lips in a sharp, involuntary gasp. She staggered, clutching at her heart as a wild storm of energy roared beneath her skin—an unfamiliar, chaotic force she had never encountered before. Panic flickered in her eyes as she fought to contain it, forcing herself to retreat swiftly into the sanctuary of her personal space. There was no time to hesitate; the power inside her was unruly and unpredictable.

Almost instantly, Blue and Sunny came rushing to her side the moment she reappeared.

“The space is overloaded with energy,” Blue said urgently, his voice tight with concern. “That vein you absorbed—it’s far too massive for you to handle right now!”

At Lillian’s feet, the little fox whimpered nervously, circling anxiously as if sensing the turmoil within her.

Swallowing hard against the pressure building in her veins, Lillian’s voice was weak but determined. “What if I transfer the vein back out immediately?”

“No, you can’t,” Blue replied firmly. “Ivory itself contains its own spiritual power. Now that the entire vein is inside your space, the energy is feeding directly into it. If you push the ore back out, it’ll just be dead ivory. The power won’t leave; it’ll stay here and only grow stronger.”

Lillian’s brows furrowed in frustration. “Then what am I supposed to do?”

“You’ll have to seal yourself inside the space and suppress the energy bit by bit with your mind,” Blue explained. “It’s going to take a long time. But your body can only endure twelve hours before the space collapses on its own.”

Her heart sank. “How long are we talking about? Days? Months? Years?” She needed to know. If it was a long time, she had to prepare carefully—she couldn’t simply disappear without warning and put Karina and the others at risk.

Blue hesitated before answering. “It depends entirely on your mental strength. It could be one or two years… maybe even five or six. The vein is enormous.”

Lillian took a deep, steadying breath, trying to calm the storm inside her. “Fine. I’ll make sure I’m back within twelve hours.” She couldn’t vanish now; if Richard realized she was gone, he’d only turn his wrath on her friends once more.

With that resolve, she stepped out of her space and made her way toward Richard’s tent.

As she reached the flap, voices drifted through the thin canvas walls.

“My affairs don’t concern you,” Richard snapped sharply.

“What? That’s impossible—how could the company’s stock be forcibly taken?” came a shocked reply.
