Rewrite Her Thrilling Life (Lillian and Sebastian) novel Chapter 362

**The Billionaire’s Last Obsession series 362**
**Chapter 362: Schemes**

In the verdant embrace of the garden, Felix strolled with an air of casual elegance, a wineglass held delicately in his hand. The sun, a golden orb in the sky, cast a gentle glow, creating a tapestry of light and shadow on the ground as he approached the couple. With a playful grin, he announced, “So, this is your secret hideaway, huh? I’ve been on a wild goose chase looking for you two!” He made a grand gesture, extending his hand toward Lillian. “Let me introduce myself properly. I’m Felix, cousin to the infamous Sebastian.”

Lillian rose from her seat with a grace that seemed effortless, her confidence radiating like the sun above. She met his handshake with a warm smile that could light up the darkest of rooms. “Hello, Felix. I’m Lillian, Sebastian’s fiancée.”

Settling into an empty chair beside them, Felix leaned in, his eyes sparkling with mischief and curiosity. “Now, Lillian, I must ask—how on earth did you manage to thaw the heart of my cousin? He’s as frigid as an arctic glacier! I was convinced he’d be a lifelong bachelor.”

A soft, melodic laugh escaped Lillian’s lips as her gaze drifted to Sebastian, who sat nearby, his presence enveloping her in a comforting embrace. “Believe it or not, he was surprisingly easy to win over. And when charm didn’t work, I simply fought for his affection. Eventually, he surrendered; he just couldn’t handle my tenacity.”

Felix nearly sputtered, his eyes wide with incredulity as he turned to Sebastian. “Is this true? You, the stoic one, actually succumbed to a battle of wits with Lillian?”

Sebastian, caught in a delightful mix of amusement and fondness, reached over to gently pinch the tip of Lillian’s nose, a gesture brimming with affection. “You little troublemaker. How could I ever think of harming you? All I desire is to cherish you.”

Lillian shot him a playful glare, her eyes sparkling with mischief. “Oh, don’t play innocent with me. I still vividly remember our first encounter. When I tried to help you, you raised your hand against me! If I hadn’t been quick on my feet, who knows what would have happened?”

For a fleeting moment, his expression darkened, and his voice took on a serious tone. “That’s true. No fight, no friendship. And without that initial clash, we wouldn’t have forged this bond, made those promises, or dared to dream of a future together. I’ll never regret it.”

Sebastian’s heartfelt words, infused with warmth and sincerity, no longer surprised Lillian; she had grown accustomed to his spontaneous declarations of affection. But for Felix, the revelation left him momentarily speechless. “Well, I’ll be damned. They say if you live long enough, you see everything, and here I am, witnessing my glacier of a cousin spouting love lines. Incredible.”

Lillian burst into laughter at Felix’s exaggerated astonishment, the sound ringing out like a sweet melody in the air, lifting the mood around them.

Just then, Ariana appeared, her entrance marked by a bright smile that shifted the atmosphere like a sudden breeze. “Apologies for the interruption, but Sebastian, Grandfather wishes to speak with you privately.”

Sebastian’s gaze lingered on her for a heartbeat before returning to Lillian, an assuring look in his eyes. “I’ll be right back. Just stay here with Felix.”

“I’ll be just fine,” Lillian reassured him, her voice steady, though a flicker of uncertainty danced in her heart. “Go ahead. I can manage on my own.”
