Rewrite Her Thrilling Life (Lillian and Sebastian) novel Chapter 472

**The Billionaire’s Last Obsession series 472**
**Chapter 472: Clarification**

Lillian nodded slowly, her expression resolute. “That’s right; it’s true, and it is worth a fortune. But what does that matter? Just because you lack the ability doesn’t mean everyone else does. Am I not entitled to earn a living with my own two hands?” Her voice was steady, but beneath the surface, a tempest of emotions brewed—defiance, frustration, and a fierce desire to prove herself.

Rosie scoffed, her disdain palpable. “Of course, I don’t possess your so-called talent for making money. It seems that when you flit from one man to another, the cash flows in much quicker than it does for ordinary people like us, doesn’t it?” Her words dripped with sarcasm, and the crowd erupted in laughter, a cacophony of mockery that echoed in the air like a cruel melody.

Standing off to the side, Isabelle and Elsie exchanged furious glances, their eyes blazing with indignation. They had witnessed enough of Rosie’s antics and were ready to defend their friend.

Lillian, unfazed by the laughter, lightly clapped her hands together, a serene smile gracing her lips as she turned her gaze back to Rosie. “Remember what you just said; don’t you dare forget it.” With that, she reached for a nearby folder, her fingers deftly extracting a stack of papers that seemed to shimmer with promise.

She pivoted to face the students, her voice clear and commanding. “You all recognize this—a bank statement. I have been trading stocks for eight years now, and my profits have long surpassed the hundred-million mark. Four years ago, I ventured into investing in raw jade, and each transaction has yielded hundreds of millions. I possess the company records and payment receipts to substantiate my claims. Furthermore, Solara’s classmates should already be familiar with my medical expertise—every time I treat a patient, I charge tens of millions. If you doubt my credibility, feel free to ask the bank; I doubt they would risk their reputation by lying. So, tell me, Rosie—if I’ve earned this much, why shouldn’t I live comfortably? Why shouldn’t I be able to afford a watch worth tens of millions? And just to clarify, this particular watch wasn’t even purchased by me; it was a gift from my fiancé. Is that somehow a crime?”

As Lillian spoke, her confidence radiated through the room, draining the color from Rosie’s face. A classmate, seemingly unable to contain his curiosity, piped up, “My family works at a bank. Can I take a look at your statement?”

Without a moment’s hesitation, Lillian handed the statement over, her demeanor unwavering.

The boy took the document, his eyes scanning the figures with a mix of disbelief and awe. He froze, his mouth agape as he processed the enormity of what he was witnessing.

A voice from the crowd broke the silence. “Is it real? Can you tell?”

He nodded slowly, still in shock. “It’s real. This is a legitimate bank statement; I would stake my reputation on it.”
