Rewrite Her Thrilling Life (Lillian and Sebastian) novel Chapter 504

**Chapter 504: The Gathering 2**

“10 Free Coins.”

Lillian chuckled, her laughter ringing out like a melody in the warm afternoon air. “Why don’t we let the chef take care of the grilling? It might turn into a real disaster if someone ends up getting sick from this,” she suggested, half-joking, yet with a hint of genuine concern.

Elvic, not one to back down from a challenge, interjected with a firm shake of her head. “No way! Outdoor barbecues are only truly enjoyable when we do it ourselves. If we leave it to the chef, what’s the point of all this?” With that, she seized a handful of skewers and joined in on the grilling, her enthusiasm infectious.

Lillian surveyed the courtyard, her gaze sweeping over the group of friends gathered around the grill, their faces lit with joy as they focused intently on their food. A warm smile crept across her face, a mixture of amusement and affection for the scene before her. It was a chaotic yet delightful gathering, a moment she wished could stretch on forever.

Meanwhile, high above in the study on the third floor, a different atmosphere lingered.

By the expansive floor-to-ceiling window, a tall figure stood, bathed in the golden glow of sunlight that streamed through. Sebastian’s presence was commanding, his lips curved in a barely-there smile that could draw anyone in, a juxtaposition of warmth and mystery.

“Ms. Harrington is fortunate to have forged a few genuine friendships,” Foster commented, his tone reflective.

Sebastian’s eyes remained fixed on the courtyard below, where he could see the little one’s radiant smile. His voice, when he finally spoke, was low and thoughtful. “Yes, such connections are rare. I can only hope she manages to hold onto that smile,” he mused, a flicker of protectiveness in his tone.

“But human hearts are unpredictable,” Foster interjected. “I have faith that Ms. Harrington possesses her own discernment, so there’s no need for you to worry, sir.”

Sebastian turned away from the window, striding over to his desk with purposeful intent. He picked up a sealed folder, its edges crisp and untouched. “This contains Jake’s confession, correct?” he asked, his voice steady.

“Yes,” Foster confirmed, his expression serious. “I reviewed it—it’s authentic.”

As Sebastian opened the file, a cold fury ignited in his eyes, a storm brewing beneath the surface. The chilling revelation within sent a shiver down Foster’s spine, the tension in the room palpable.

Noticing the shift in Sebastian’s demeanor, Foster cautiously inquired, “Do you intend to inform Ms. Harrington about this?”
