Chapter 561 Vivian’s Fate
The sudden scene left everyone bewildered.
Terrified, Vivian shouted, “Where are you taking me? Let me go! Where are you taking me?” She struggled to break free, but how could the strength of one woman possibly compare to two men?
Chloe watched as Vivian was dragged away. Her eyes burned sharply as she glared at Lillian. “Where are you taking my mother? Tell me! Where are you taking her?” She lunged forward to grab Vivian, but a man in black blocked her path.
Lillian sneered at Chloe. “Of course I’m taking her where she belongs.” With that, her cold gaze flicked briefly toward Henry before she turned and walked away.
Henry’s eyes filled with grief as he watched Lillian’s back retreat into the distance. He opened his mouth but couldn’t find the words to stop her.
Chloe stumbled helplessly in front of Henry. “Dad, are you just going to ignore this? Are you really going to let her take Mom away?”
Henry waved his hand weakly and walked away with heavy, dragging steps. He looked as though he had aged ten years in an instant.
Morgan, overwhelmed by emotion, fainted and had to be rushed to the hospital.
The Sinclair family’s spectacle had turned them into the laughingstock of all Kingston.
At Ravenwood Manor, Sebastian stood before the floor–to–ceiling windows, staring at the snow drifting silently down outside. The world was quiet, cold, and still.
Just then, Foster entered and spoke respectfully. “Sir, Ms. Harrington took Vivian from the banquet.”
“Which way?” Sebastian asked.
Foster lowered his voice. “Yellowood Cemetery.”
Sebastian turned and walked out immediately.
Meanwhile, at Yellowood Cemetery-
A man in black dragged Vivian and threw her down in front of a gravestone.
Vivian looked around at the rows of tombstones towering over her. A chill of dread gripped her. When her eyes fell on the photo of a woman carved into the stone, terror shot through her and she stumbled backward. She mumbled frantically, “No… no, I don’t want to be here. I don’t want to stay here!”
The sharp sound of heels echoed. Vivian spun around and froze when she saw a face almost identical to the one on the gravestone. She shook her head wildly. “Are you human or a ghost? No, you’re not human— you’re a ghost! You’re a ghost!” She scrambled to her feet and tried to run, but another man in black blocked her way.
Lillian walked to the gravestone and placed a sunflower in front of it. Her hand gently brushed over the photograph as she spoke softly. “Mom, I came to see you. How have you been over there? I’ve been busy lately, so I couldn’t come as often. Last time, you saw your daughter in such a wretched state… did I make you worry?”
“Today, I brought someone for you to meet.” She stood and yanked Vivian forward, shoving her down in front of the gravestone.
