**Chapter 624: Vivian’s Ending 5**
A sudden commotion erupted as a group of individuals burst through the entrance, their hurried footsteps crunching against the snow.
Sebastian’s breath caught in his throat when he spotted a familiar figure sprawled on the icy ground. Panic surged through him, propelling him forward as he rushed to assist the girl. “Vivian!” he exclaimed, concern etching his features as he helped her to her feet.
Vivian, her eyes sparkling with a mix of amusement and malice, regarded him with a low chuckle. “Not bad, Lilian. Look at your fiancé, rushing over as if the world depended on it. How delightful! Now he gets to witness this pitiful side of you,” she taunted, her voice dripping with disdain.
Sebastian’s gaze shifted to the triumphant woman standing on the ledge, his deep-set eyes narrowing, a cold glint flashing within them. “Vivian, do you really believe there’s no escape for your daughter? Just because you managed to secure that 30% stake for Henry, do you think the Sinclair Group is safe? The torment you’ve inflicted on Lilian today will be repaid to your daughter a hundredfold,” he warned, the weight of his words hanging heavily in the air.
Vivian’s expression hardened, her eyes narrowing into slits of fury. “You dare threaten my daughter! If you so much as lay a finger on her, none of you will ever touch Catherine’s ashes! You want to make me suffer? Fine, I’ll make Lilian endure a lifetime of pain. If it comes to it, we’ll all go down together,” she retorted, her voice icy and resolute.
Suddenly, a voice broke through the tension, an elderly man striding forward with the assistance of a younger companion. “Stop!” he commanded, his voice laced with anguish. “Return Catherine’s ashes to me.”
The arrival of Merrick sent a ripple of shock through the gathering. Lilian’s confusion deepened. Why was he referring to her mother as “Catherine”?
“Catherine!” Vivian exclaimed, her curiosity piqued. “Old man, don’t tell me you were also one of Catherine’s admirers back in the day,” she mocked, her tone laced with sarcasm.
“Enough!” Merrick shot back, his glare piercing. “If you utter another word to tarnish Catherine’s name, I will not hesitate to dismantle the Sinclair Group entirely.”
A chill of unease swept over Vivian. “What is your connection to Catherine?” she demanded, her voice betraying a hint of apprehension.
