Rewrite Her Thrilling Life (Lillian and Sebastian) novel Chapter 655

**Chapter 655: Natalie’s Plight**

Spring’s smile was as bright as the sun, yet there was a sharpness to it that cut deeper than any blade. “How can you even say that?” she challenged, her tone dripping with condescension. “If you feel the need to place blame, direct it towards your mother. She’s the one who chose to abandon you and vanish from your life. My father merely fell in love with my mother. Is that such a difficult truth to swallow? She left her husband and child behind without a second thought… it’s utterly heartless.”

With a flourish, she picked up the bowl, the brown liquid swirling ominously within. She brought it close to Natalie’s lips, a triumphant glint dancing in her eyes.

Natalie, her heart pounding with defiance, summoned every ounce of strength she possessed. In a swift, fierce motion, she knocked the bowl away, sending the contents splattering across Spring.

“Ah!” Spring cried out, the hot liquid soaking into her clothes, the shock evident on her face as she stumbled back, momentarily taken aback.

A cold, vindictive smirk crept onto Natalie’s lips as she observed Spring’s disheveled state. There was a flicker of satisfaction in her chest, a small victory against the oppressive atmosphere that surrounded her.

Spring’s expression twisted into one of fury, her eyes narrowing dangerously. “Listen to me, Natalie,” she hissed, her voice low and threatening. “You’d better start understanding your place. When I offer you medicine, you drink it. This isn’t your domain anymore, where you can reign as queen. You need to wake up to reality. My mother is the lady of this house now, and I suggest you don’t push your luck.”

Just then, the sound of footsteps echoed in the hallway, a herald of impending judgment.

Spring’s demeanor shifted instantly; her eyes glistened with unshed tears, her expression morphing into one of pure victimhood. “How could you do this?” she lamented, her voice quivering with feigned hurt. “Even if you refuse to drink your medicine, you can’t just throw it away! Carson went through so much trouble to bring this to you. If you neglect your health, what are we all supposed to do?”

As if on cue, the bedroom door swung open, and Carson strode in, his brow furrowing at the sight before him.

“Natalie, are you throwing another tantrum?” he snapped, frustration lacing his words. “Spring was kind enough to bring you medicine. How could you refuse her? I understand you’re feeling awful, but this is just too willful.” His gaze shifted to Spring, concern etching his features. “Are you alright?”
