Rewrite Her Thrilling Life (Lillian and Sebastian) novel Chapter 706

**TITLE: The Billionaire’s Last Obsession series 706**
**CONTENT: Chapter 706 A Conversation Between Father and Son**

The conversation lingered in the air for a few moments longer before the line went dead.

Uriel sat at the table, her gaze fixed on her son, a mix of concern and curiosity flickering across her features. “Are you absolutely certain about her?” she inquired, her voice steady but laced with maternal apprehension.

Sebastian, placing his knife and fork neatly aside, took a moment to wipe his mouth with a napkin. He then turned to Uriel, his expression serious and resolute. “I’ve made my choice for this lifetime. There will be no one else but her,” he declared, a hint of defiance in his tone.

Uriel nodded slowly, absorbing his words. “If that’s the case, then I must decline her advances. If I don’t, she will only cling to that notion, and I refuse to let that happen,” she stated firmly, her resolve hardening.

Sebastian met her gaze directly, a flicker of frustration crossing his face. “Mom, it’s best if you steer clear of matters like this in the future. I don’t want anything to jeopardize the bond between us,” he replied, his voice carrying an edge of finality. With that, he stood up, his chair scraping against the floor as he exited the dining room.

Uriel pointed at her son’s retreating figure, exasperation bubbling within her. “You little brat! Is that how you speak to your mother?” she called after him, her voice echoing in the now quiet room.

From a nearby corner, Avery chimed in, his tone calm yet firm. “You shouldn’t have interfered in the first place, Uriel. You know your son’s temperament; he’s always made his own choices.” He too rose from his seat, following Sebastian out of the dining area.

Uriel watched as both her husband and son walked away, a sense of loneliness washing over her. She turned to Bran, her eyes pleading for understanding.

Bran, however, pretended to be engrossed in his meal, deliberately avoiding her gaze.

The two men, sharing an unmistakable resemblance, stood side by side by the expansive floor-to-ceiling window, gazing out at the sprawling landscape beyond.

Avery’s voice broke the silence, low and contemplative. “How has your grandfather been all these years?”

Sebastian nodded thoughtfully, his brow furrowing slightly. “He’s been alright. With Uncle around, you don’t need to worry about him. But if that’s the case, why don’t you go back and pay him a visit?” he suggested, a hint of encouragement in his tone.

Avery’s expression cooled, a shadow passing over his features. “You know what transpired back then. He disregarded any semblance of father-son affection; why should I trouble him again?” he replied, bitterness creeping into his voice.
