Lilian nodded. “I know. I just feel heartbroken for Mom. She lived her whole life not knowing who she was, where her home was, or who her parents were. Even though Morgan adopted her, too much self–interest was involved. Although Henry married her, he never truly loved her. Until the day she died, she never truly experienced being cherished.”
Sebastian gently stroked the girl’s hair. “But she had you. She gave all her love to you. So you must live a happy life; that’s the only way she can rest assured.”
“Mhm, I know,” Lilian replied softly.
Watching the neon lights outside the car window, her mood gradually calmed.
At the same time, the group led by Gray had arrived below Wyvern Hill.
Gray looked at the lush green mountains and sneered, “So Leonard has been hiding himself in such a secluded spot all these years. No wonder we couldn’t find him after searching for so long. He truly is an old fox.”
Peach looked at Gray with intense hatred. “We’re here now. Shouldn’t you let my family go?”
“What’s the rush?” Gray said with cold eyes. “Well naturally release them after our mission is complete.”
One of the men in black asked, “When should we go up the mountain?”
Gray looked thoughtfully at the darkening forest “We’ll go up tomorrow morning.” He then turned and walked away.
The next morning.
The entirety of Wyvern Hill was enveloped in a layer of white mist. As the sun gradually rose, the fog in the woods slowly dissipated, and the occasional sound of birdsong could be heard.
In the courtyard of the quadrangle house,
Leonard sat in the courtyard, holding a teacup in one hand and a medical text in the other, reading intently. Beside him, Fenton quietly brewed tea, their actions perfectly synchronized.
Ella walked out and said with a smile, “It’s time for breakfast.”
Fenton spoke softly. “Wait just a moment. It’s not too late to eat after Master finishes this page.”

Just then, a knock sounded at the door. Fenton, seeing Leonard show no reaction, walked over and opened the door. Seeing the people standing outside, he asked, confused, “Who are you looking for?”
The men in black immediately shoved Fenton aside and walked in.
Gray walked slowly into the quadrangle house, looking around. When he saw the elderly man sitting in the courtyard, he said in a chilling voice, “Leonard, you’ve been well, haven’t you?”
