Leonard grasped Lilian’s hand, looking intently at her. “Promise me you will leave this place. I know you have the ability, so don’t worry about me, alright? My body has reached its limit; I don’t have many years left to live. I was hoping to at least see you get married, but it seems I won’t. So, promise me you will leave this place. Sebastian will protect you.”

Lilian wept bitterly. “I can’t do it. I truly can’t. I can’t stand by and watch you suffer here and do nothing.”

Seeing the stubbornness in the girl’s eyes, Leonard’s expression suddenly turned cold. “Leave. I am no longer your Master.
