Chapter 807 The Mildew Family Vanishes.
Phineas rolled his eyes and pulled out his phone. He dialed several times, but no one answered. Finally, he called the house landline. “Hello? This is the Mildew residence.”
“Is Rhonda there?”
The person on the other end paused before recognizing the voice. “Mr. Phineas? Madam left yesterday and hasn’t returned.”
“What? You’re telling me both of them have been out since yesterday and aren’t back yet?”
“That is correct, sir.”
“Then why the hell didn’t you tell me sooner?”
The servant sounded hesitant. “Sir, you specifically told me not to monitor Madam’s movements, you’ve never asked before…”
and
“Fine, fine!” Phineas snapped, hanging up abruptly. He turned to the others. “Both their phones are off and they aren’t home. Should I send men to my father–in–law’s place to look for them?”
Arlo’s brow was deeply furrowed. “No need. They’ve likely been taken, just like Yvette and the others.”
Stellan studied Arlo’s grim expression. “Father, do you know something? How can you be so sure they were taken?”
Arlo handed the newspaper to Stellan. “Look at this first.”
Stellan took the paper with a look of apprehension. As he scanned the headlines, his jaw dropped. “How is there more scandal about our family? And the stock price–it’s in freefall. What is going on?”
Arlo exhaled a long, heavy sigh. “It seems that man intends to give us a taste of our own medicine. He’s going to dig in and fight us to the bitter end.”
“You mean the Chairman of Empire Group?” Stellan asked tentatively.
Arlo nodded solemnly. “Exactly. You were both there yesterday. George gave a flat denial about taking his fiancée. You heard what that man said before he left. This is only the beginning.”
Stellan stared at Arlo. “So you’re saying it’s highly probable/he’s the one who took Yvette and the others?”
“Extremely probable,” Arlo replied, his voice heavy.
Stellan took a deep breath. “Father, I need the truth. Did George take that man’s fiancée? I want an honest
answer.”
Arlo met Stellan’s sharp gaze for a long moment before finally nodding. “Yes. George took her.” “Dammit! So he actually did it,” Phineas cut in. “He acts like such a refined gentleman, but it’s all a front.

“What’s the plan then? We can’t just sit here and wait for the end,” Stellan said, regaining his composure.
Arlo fell into thought for a moment. “I’ll go talk to him first. I need to gauge his resolve before we make our next move.”
The Westin Hotel.
Sebastian sat on a sofa in the lounge area, leafing through a file.
Across from him, Fawks was lounged in an armchair, swirling a glass of red wine with a smirk. “You don’t seem nervous at all right now.”
Sebastian offered a cold laugh. “In war, the greatest sin is impatience. Since the declaration has been made, we’ll take our time. We’ll see who surrenders first.”
Fawks nodded thoughtfully. “I have to admit, your strategy is brilliant. Arlo likely thinks you’re the sole architect behind everything happening to them.
“He’s pouring all his energy into dealing with you. By the time he realizes there’s another wolf lurking at his back, he’s going to be absolutely livid.”
