Rowan narrowed his eyes at Lilian, his voice dripping with condescension. “Of course. As a member of the Soren family, I pride myself on staying within the law. The official’s face darkened with anger. “Are you playing games with us? If you don’t have the proper credentials, stop wasting our ime. We have a job to do, and we need to report back to our superiors.”

‘Exactly,” Rowan added, his eyes full of spite. “These men have better things to do than watch you stall. You can’t just conjure a icense out of thin air because you’re having a bad day. You might as well cooperate now before you embarrass yourself further in ront of the entire country.”

The reporters in the room were already whispering, their cameras focused on the black booklet in Lilian’s hand.

‘This is a train wreck,” one whispered. “She was doing so well, and now she’s just digging a deeper hole.”

“It’s a shame,” another added. “She’s clearly brilliant, but she’s too young to realize you can’t fight the establishment and win. Skyreach is done.”
