Chapter 299 The Setup Begins

Bianca held Steven’s hand.

“If this place means that much to you, we can always come back to Rowenville.”

Steven smiled and nodded. “Yeah. This is our home, after all.”

Bianca smiled back.

“So, where are we going this afternoon?”

As soon as she finished speaking, Steven’s Starlink chimed.

It was Nelson.

“Right on cue.” Steven chuckled.

Bianca flashed him a sly grin. “Leave it to me.”

By evening, Nelson could hardly contain his excitement.

“Amy, I’ll introduce you to Steven and Bianca later. We’re pretty close, so don’t worry.”

Amelia smiled and nodded. “Okay.”

“Honestly, the thought of becoming friends with Bianca feels like a dream.”

Nelson puffed out his chest, trying to sound nonchalant. “There’s no need to get so excited. Steven, Bianca, and I have been good friends since high school. As long as you’re with me, you’ll be friends with them sooner or later.”

Amelia’s cheeks warmed at his words. “We’ve only known each other for a short time… and you’re already talking about spending the rest of your life with me?”

Her playful teasing was already making it hard for Nelson to think straight.

A faint blush crept onto Nelson’s face as he said, “Amy, you know how I feel about you.”

Amelia shot him a playful look. “Then you’d better keep working hard.”

Just seeing that expression on her face was enough to make Nelson’s heart soar.

He finally had a shot! A real shot!

Persistence really does

pay

off.

Earlier that day, Nelson had received a message from Amelia.

She had subtly hinted that if he could introduce her to Bianca and the others, he would have an even better chance with her.

Naturally, Nelson was thrilled.

By now, he was completely captivated by her sweet and innocent demeanor.

When people were young, there were always times when emotions clouded their judgment.

“They’re easy to get along with,” Nelson said, his heart fluttering with anticipation.

In fact, he was already planning how he would confess his feelings to her.

Amelia, on the other hand, felt a little turned off.

Still, she kept a smile on her face. “Alright, we’re here. Let’s go in before we keep them waiting.”

The two of them walked into the restaurant side by side.

But they weren’t holding hands.

After all, Nelson was still inexperienced when it came to romance.

They made their way to the private dining room they had reserved.

As soon as Nelson pushed the door open, he saw Steven and Bianca already seated inside.

Steven immediately got to his feet.

“Hey, there you are!”

Nelson scratched the back of his head and flashed a sheepish grin. “Did I keep you waiting too long?”
